It is burning. The sunset where she stands, the scene itself.
Ever since I saw it, I have been yearning for that scene.

"If there were a way to preserve it forever, would you want to obtain it?"

There was a man who spoke those words as if he could see through my thoughts. A photograph? Or perhaps a painting? Either way, I have no need for imitations, so I would ask you to leave. Seeing me about to say that, the man continued his story.

"It is neither a photograph nor a painting. I am telling you that there is a way to preserve your memories forever."

A suspicious story. Isn't that something that can only be realized in back-alley tales?

"No, no, that is not the case. It actually exists, a method of preservation. It is something I rarely speak of, so it is inevitable that you would find it suspicious."

The man spoke words as if he could hear my inner voice. I tried to drive him away. ...As I tried to drive him away, the words "Leave, do not bother me" got stuck in my throat and made no sound.

The man's gaze met mine, and I silently followed him and began to walk.
