5 Months of Daily Note Updates: Changes in Stock Management and Paid Article Funnels
Hello, I'm Eight✌️☺️
For over 5 months, I have been updating my note daily.
When I checked again, I found that I had accumulated
more than a week's worth of article stock.
While I think, "Great, I have some breathing room," for some reason,
I find myself prioritizing publishing the article I wrote that very day
.
Instead of using my stock, I end up publishing what I wrote that day as is😅
At first, I thought it was a waste. But after a while, I realized something.
Articles have a sense of freshness, too.
The passion and feelings at the time of writing, and that atmosphere that only I could capture on that specific day.
I feel like that fades away little by little as time passes.
So now, I've decided to keep my stock as savings for when I'm in a bind and can't write.
The moment I stopped trying to force myself to get through it,
I felt so much lighter✨
The story of how I lost the motivation to write paid articles
I'll be honest.
Recently,
my passion for writing paid articles
has completely vanished😰
Before, I felt the pressure of
“I have to put out the next paid article.”
But after writing so many, I realized
something.
The articles I worked the hardest on didn't sell.
That was truly heartbreaking💦
But at the same time,
it was an important discovery.
“Writing carefully” and “selling well”
are on different axes.
Once I understood that,
I felt a bit less burdened.
The common thread in articles that sold was the “funnel”
A paid article that hadn't sold at all for months
suddenly sold one day.
I didn't change anything about the content of the article.
I justadded a link
inside another free article.
That alone made it sell.
I learned something from this experience.
Perhaps whether or not people can find it is more important
than the quality or timing of the article.
Now, I make sure to insert links not just at the end of articles,
but also in places where they naturally fit the flow of the text.
Not as a "sales pitch," but with the tone of
"If you're interested in this topic, check this out too" 😌
I believe that a funnel that isn't pushy
is the kindest to readers.
The mindset of "cherishing what you already have"
I used to think that I had to
keep churning out paid articles one after another.
But now, it's different.
I feel that
treating the articles I have already written with care
might be the right approach.I feel that.
Rather than creating new things, shine a light on what already exists.
Just by doing that, articles that were dormant get another chance to be seen by someone.
The note platform has a high turnover of people.
There are many people who stop updating before you know it.
That is precisely why
being here and continuing to write is your greatest strength.
An article that no one read last year might look fresh to someone who just started using note today.
I believe that such a time lag is the true value of stock-type content.
I do not rewrite past articles.
There is one thing
I have decided for myself.
I do not make changes to past articles.
Even if the writing was rough,
it was the best I could do at the time.
If I go back and edit it later,
it becomes a completely different article.
I feel like that would be,
in a way, betraying my past self😅
Even if I do make corrections,
it's at most just the title or thumbnail.
Leaving the content as is,
and just tidying up the entrance.
I think that is the perfect
balance.
Following up with those who purchased is also important
The other day,
someone purchased a paid article of mine.
When I reread it,
it contained some
outdated information.
I corrected it immediately.
It might seem like the obvious thing to do, but
I think there are quite a few people
who just leave things as they are after selling them.
But because of my personality,
I just can't leave it alone😅
I believe this leads to trust.
Especially for AI-related articles, the freshness of the information is vital.
As a responsibility to those who have purchased,
I make it a point to regularly review the content.
Now is the time for "maturation"
If I had to describe my current Note management in one word, it would be
"maturation".
Do not mass-produce new paid articles
Keep stock as savings
Carefully create funnels for what already exists
Trust past articles and wait
Perhaps the reason I feel I don't need to rush
is because I have been writing every day for five months.
I feel that my trust in what I have built up
has been growing little by little.😌
Even if they don't sell,
even if they aren't read,
being here and continuing to write
might be the best strategy. I have started to think that way.
