The "Talk Event" Born from Expressing My True Self

Yesterday, I held my first talk event originating from a note post.

It was there that I once again realized the power of sharing content.

The trigger was writing "Would you like to talk with me?" in the post below.

Although I had put out the call, I honestly thought the hurdle was quite high.

From a reader's perspective, even just clicking 'like' or leaving a comment is a big deal, so reaching out on one's own is quite difficult.

While I was prepared for no one to contact me, I had expressed my intention that I "wanted to talk," so I decided to open my heart and wait.

Then, within that same day, I received a message from michimag-san.

I have been in the same "Courage to Share" community as michimag-san, and we had spoken once before.

Since then, they have sent me messages and read my daily posts.

I was very happy that michimag-san told me they wanted to talk.

While exchanging emails beforehand, we found common ground, such as our experiences traveling in the UK and reading essays by Gen Hoshino, which made my anticipation grow even more.

And then, I suddenly remembered something important.

Oh no, I haven't read 'Inochi no Shaso kara 2' yet...

I read it all in one go the day before and managed to finish it in time.

It was a wonderful essay that conveyed Gen Hoshino's unknown struggles and changes.

With that, the day of the talk event arrived.

It was my first time having a deep, one-on-one conversation.

Thanks to michimag-san speaking in such a bright and eager manner, it was very easy to talk.

Because they were interested in me, I felt a sense of security that allowed me to talk about anything.

We got excited talking about overseas travel, and from there, the conversation moved to the topic of sharing content.

"I love the warm atmosphere of the communication community!"

"There are so many good people on note, it's such a comfortable place!"

That's exactly right!!

It feels great to be surrounded by empathy.

Having michimag-san point out the good parts of my posts also boosted my self-esteem.

A fun time filled with nothing but good things passes in the blink of an eye.

We got so excited that I completely forgot to talk about 'Inochi no Shaso kara 2'.

I'm sorry, Hoshino-san.

I also received a few requests for posts, so stay tuned.

Although there were some connection issues along the way, the first talk session was a huge success!

I'm basking in the joy of having become friends with michimag-san.

I can't wait for the day we can meet in Tokyo.

Just two months ago, I didn't even know you existed.

If I hadn't been posting, or if I hadn't joined the community, we would never have met.

I realized that this is what it means to 'meet customers and friends who are on the same wavelength' through authentic expression.

I'm so glad I've continued to post as my true self.

While being grateful for the miracle of meeting, I also felt that many more wonderful encounters are waiting for me in the future.

Encounters are the future.
