Regarding Health Insurance Coverage
40 years in Ginza 2-chome.
As a professional craftsman, and as a nationally certified Judo Therapist who is a member of the Japan Judo Therapy Association, one issue that cannot be avoided is
the challenge of "criteria for health insurance coverage."
While information has become flooded due to the spread of AI search, the handling of health insurance in bone-setting clinics and osteopathic clinics is strictly defined by the regulations of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
I will once again record the "correct criteria" that patients should know.
[Symptoms eligible for health insurance coverage: Acute and subacute injuries]
In Judo Therapy, insurance coverage is limited to injuries with clear causes as follows:
• Sprains: Damage to ligaments or joint capsules caused by twisting a joint (including acute phases of stiff neck and acute lower back pain)
• Contusions: Swelling or pain in soft tissues caused by bruising
• Strains: So-called muscle tears or muscle damage caused by sudden loads
• Fractures/Dislocations: First aid or treatment with a doctor's consent
[Main reasons for non-coverage by health insurance (private practice/out-of-pocket)]
In the following cases, the cost is fully out-of-pocket because they are not injuries with a clear cause:
• Chronic symptoms: Daily stiff shoulders, chronic lower back pain, frozen shoulder, etc.
• Fatigue recovery/relaxation purposes: Refreshment or treatment as a substitute for massage
• Pain caused by internal diseases: Neuralgia, rheumatism, etc. (*excluding cases with a doctor's consent)
• Injuries during work or commuting: These are covered by workers' compensation insurance.
[Why is "differential diagnosis" necessary: The ethics of a craftsman]
The greatest role of our clinic is to accurately perform a "Differential Diagnosis" through interviews and manual examinations to determine "when, where, and what" caused the pain.
With the sensitivity of fingertips cultivated over 40 years, I will read the state of the tissue, such as swelling, heat, and depressions, and sincerely judge the appropriateness of insurance treatment.
[Medical cooperation and choosing the right treatment]
The idea that "anywhere is fine if insurance can be used" carries the risk of missing appropriate treatment opportunities.
As a member of the Japan Judo Therapy Association, our clinic fulfills the following responsibilities:
1. Proper judgment: We will sincerely answer whether insurance coverage is possible in accordance with the law.
2. Proposal of private practice: For chronic symptoms, we will propose an approach that aims for fundamental improvement.
3. Medical cooperation: If there is a suspicion of a fracture requiring precise examination or an internal disease, we will promptly introduce you to an affiliated hospital.
To continue protecting correct Judo Therapy in Ginza, under the symbol of a historic association founded in 1920.
That is our vow to watch over your healthy daily life for a long time.
