Here are three poems from my parenting senryu collection!

Clothes two sizes too big are already skin-tight

I realized back in kindergarten that there's no need to buy such large sizes since children's clothes get dirty anyway,
but I've always liked oversized clothes,
and since she's an only child, I end up buying larger sizes hoping she'll wear them for a long time.
But before I know it, they're skin-tight!
You've grown so much.

Splitting it in half, now the child eats seventy percent

It was always a 50/50 split.
My daughter even won an award for a haiku about splitting things in half!

But now, the amount my daughter eats is overwhelmingly more.
In terms of plain rice, maybe five times as much?!
When we eat out and order two servings, I'm the one who struggles to finish.
My mother always used to say the same thing.

Nowadays, even when we share sweets, it's probably a 7:3 split.

Aries, relied upon by the teachers

I heard before and after giving birth that children born in April are expected to do a lot by their teachers.

Before the teachers even expect anything, Aries children act immediately!
Well, it's a surprising instant decision and instant action.
Of course, she was physically large too, but
I was surprised when my daughter said in April or May of her first year of preschool, 'Since I'm a big sister in the class, I'm holding back on being spoiled by my homeroom teacher.'

When she became a senior in preschool, her second-year teacher would say, 'Mi-mi, I'm counting on you, really counting on you,' and I thought to myself, 'She's only five years old, even if she was born in April, teacher.'
But even mid-career teachers would say, 'Even when I'm careless, Mi-mi says, "Teacher, I already did it for you," so it's a big help. I end up relying on her.'
A veteran teacher told me during the overnight school trip, 'Before I even noticed, she was comforting a friend who was in trouble and solving the problem. Everyone felt at ease and had fun. She was a real help.'

In first grade, she acted more like a child by leaning on the sixth graders,
but even after that, both teachers and friends say she's a big help.
The one who is helped the most is me!
