My 7-year-old son's "I did it!" and "power to decide for himself" grown from Daiso seeds

This is a sequel to my previous article (*^▽^*)

The vegetables in my son's farm (←our garden lol) are

finally starting to wake up...!!

Everything is going well so far!! (*^▽^*)✨
(By the way, the shiso and carrots are grown from Daiso seeds, and the tomatoes are grown from seedlings)

Seeing this,
my son was incredibly happy.

"I did it! Amazing!!"
he said with a huge smile.

Actually,

when my son was still in kindergarten (during the COVID pandemic),
we rented a community garden plot,
but that was really tough.

In the middle of summer and the dead of winter,
we went to the field every weekend, weeding and weeding.

But if my son got a fever,
the field would be neglected...
Meanwhile, the weeds would grow like crazy...
And then, more weeding...

And the community garden was surprisingly far away...
A full set of clothes for my little son, tea, food, some toys, etc.
Back then, he still had a lot of luggage,
I was so exhausted just from the preparations that,
even when we arrived at the field,

I was completely useless lol

The soil was good,
so the vegetables grew like crazy, and we couldn't eat them all,
so we ended up giving them away to everyone around us lol

My son seemed to enjoy playing in the dirt,
but eventually, I gave up on the infinite weeding hell...

However, this "son's farm" is

in the garden!!

That alone makes it really, truly easy, and yet

for these vegetables,
I've barely done anything but water them💦

Oh, I did give them this fertilizer once↓.

Just sprinkle it on the soil and that's it.

A lazy farm....

But they grew up healthy and strong✨

I'm so grateful... (´;ω;｀)

I wonder what happened to the cucumber that went to school with my son....

My husband has started saying,
"Aren't you going to grow eggplants? Eggplants? Eggplant..."

and since he talks about "eggplants" every time he opens his mouth,
I'm debating whether to add them lol

If I don't plant them,
I'll be living with

"the man who only talks about eggplants"

all summer long....

And then there is the question of what to do with the vegetables after they have ripened.

I sometimes get sick, and if my son can cook for himself,
he will be able to fill his own stomach.

Isn't that just the best?! (Well, for various reasons... lol)

That's what I thought.

I'm thinking of looking at this book
and trying to cook with him.

Since it's carrots,
first off,
maybe curry or stew.

My son is on team stew, and my husband is on team curry, so
it's a dilemma lol

By the way, for me,
if it's carrots,
I'm on team nikujaga... lol

When I asked, "What should we make?"

"Stew is good, but Dad likes curry, and I like it too, so maybe curry!"

he said.

I'm sure it will be food education.
