Jibun Co., Ltd. - Inventory of Resource Allocation: Money Edition

Kinoshita-san's Voicy mentioned that we should take inventory and review our resource allocation! So, this time, I will be checking how I spend my own money and time.

Inventory

My household budget is automated with Money Forward, so I can easily check it on my smartphone app! This is thanks to Kinoshita-san's recommendation from before.
Last year's top 5 expenses were: 1st place rent (15%), 2nd place food (14%), 3rd place education (11%), 4th place hobbies (10%), and 5th place clothing/beauty (9%). The rest included medical expenses, daily necessities/pet expenses, and communication costs.
Excluding student loan repayments, education expenses were about 4%, which I felt was spent on learning content like books and Voicy.

Points for Review

The points I will review this year are as follows.

• Reduce golf expenses for hobbies and increase investment in the future (learning content/travel). I thought it was a necessary expense because I use it for work, but I was surprised that it accounted for 5% of my spending (I only go about once a month, so I was caught off guard💦). The 5% only includes lesson fees, play fees, and consumable costs, but there are also travel expenses and golf bag shipping costs on top of that. Specifically, I will stop the unlimited lesson plan and instead practice swinging at home and go to the driving range only when necessary.

• Regarding beauty products, I will review my basic skincare items.
  I am currently using somewhat expensive ones, but a dermatologist on YouTube said that things like toner don't really matter😢. So, I would like to downgrade them and switch if there are no issues.
