The story of how I tried to write an announcement using the PANTS syntax, but the word 'pants' never appeared once
This morning. I read a note while going through my usual routine of drinking coffee while yelling, 'Hurry up and brush your teeth!' It struck a chord so deeply that I couldn't get it out of my mind, so I decided to try writing in the PANTS syntax myself.
That article is here ↓
So, here is the announcement I wrote using the PANTS syntax! Lol
Recently, I decided to publish a book on Kindle.
It's my first publication, and honestly, it still doesn't feel real.
The title is, 'How to Organize Your Mind So You Don't Have Regrets.'
I think it's a serious title, even if I do say so myself. So today, I thought I'd use that trending 'PANTS syntax' thing to write a proper announcement.
...Using the PANTS syntax.
Lately, I've been chased by something from the moment I wake up.
Lately, I've been chased by something from the moment I wake up in the morning.
While getting the kids ready for elementary school, I remember the forms I forgot to turn in yesterday. I panic, thinking, 'Oh, I still haven't written what I wanted to in the contact book!' and while hanging the laundry, I'm thinking about what to make for dinner tonight.
At night, while putting the kids to sleep, I think about what I'm going to do afterward, but it happens quite often that I wake up and it's already the next morning 💦
...Before I know it, I've never been able to focus on this very moment.
Isn't this a common experience for parents?
To begin with, why is my mind so busy?
If I stop here for a moment and think about it.
Isn't my mind actually filled to the brim with things to do? Even though my actions aren't necessarily getting busier in proportion to my mental busyness...
Maybe that's why? My consciousness only goes toward handling the crisis right in front of me, and I end up spending my days unable to make choices.
Actually, you might end up regretting that at the very end.
In fact, there is something I've learned from witnessing the final moments of many people at the temple.
The difference between those who have regrets at the end of their lives and those who don't.
It is about whether you are living the life you decided on for yourself. Whether you look happy or successful to others is irrelevant.
At any time.
Did you choose it with your own conviction, without being swayed by common sense or the like?
Even if you were swayed, were you able to accept it?
I feel the answer lies there.
...Somehow, I feel like this is a good vibe.
I usually write serious texts, but maybe this style is okay too.
And you know, for that, there is something I want you to do first. Try writing down the "incomplete tasks" that are occupying your mind.
I need to go buy toilet paper because we ran out
I need to write a reply in my child's communication book
I need to reply to that LINE message I haven't answered yet
These kinds of tasks that you keep in the corner of your mind thinking "it'll be over soon" are surprisingly occupying your brain's memory.
Why don't you try writing them down on paper once?
By writing them down on paper, your mind becomes empty.
When you do that, you become able to focus on each thing in front of you, and your decision-making becomes faster.
You become able to choose with conviction.
...Having said that.
"How exactly should I do that?"
"Maybe I can't write things down."
I'm sure there are people who think that.
I understand. Because I was the same way at first.
So, I decided to compile the detailed method and the benefits of writing things down into one book.
...In other words, this was actually a story about a book.
I was struggling while writing in the unfamiliar PANTS syntax, but this was all just a setup. Actually, this story was about the Kindle book I am releasing.
The title is, "How to Organize the Mind of Someone Who Won't Have Regrets: The Brain Memory Liberation Technique Reached by a Temple Wife Who Prepared for Death Twice"
The release date is Thursday, July 9th.
For the first 5 days, it will be 99 yen (0 yen for those with unlimited reading).
It is scheduled to be 480 yen from July 14th onwards.
...Before I knew it, I managed to land on a proper product introduction from a busy morning story. I think it's a pretty good structure, if I do say so myself.
In short, this book is about tidying up the 'storage room in your head'.
To summarize, it's like this.
This book is for letting go of the 'incomplete tasks' that have piled up in the storage room of your mind.
People who are satisfied with their current life but feel like something is not quite right
People who only think about future anxieties and have lost sight of what they want to do
People who are anxious because their tasks are not getting done
If any of this sounds familiar, please give it a read.
There is also a bonus workbook, so please use it to organize your thoughts.
...And so, I've written this much, but
Wait, let me remember. I had decided today that I would write the announcement using the 'PANTS syntax'.
In other words, the introduction was supposed to start with a story about pants.
Look at how that turned out now.
Before I knew it, pants didn't appear even once.
...The format, collapsed from the very first move.
But, I didn't betray the landing point.
I was able to talk properly about the book that empties your mind.
One week left until the release date.
Thank you for your support.
#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
P.S. Huh? Just because it's the PANTS syntax, does that mean I don't have to talk about pants?? I thought for a moment that an article about the 'PANTS syntax' that doesn't feature pants might be a new genre, but I've decided not to worry about it.
