I asked an AI 'What kind of person am I?', and it guessed my gender!?
My posting pace has slowed down lately, but I'm doing well. We have a Setsubun festival at the temple in early February, and preparations are in full swing, so I'm having fun? and going crazy every day.
I haven't been able to go read everyone's notes as much as I'd like, which makes me restless, but I'm going to take things one step at a time!
Anyway, even in the midst of all that, I couldn't help but be intrigued and try asking an AI for its image of me and having it generate an illustration. The trigger was this article below.
Hiro-san, whose posts I always enjoy, was doing something that looked really interesting. The moment I finished reading it, I reflexively opened ChatGPT. And when I actually tried it...
Hmm, I see. It seems it perceived a soft atmosphere and kindness. On top of that, it complimented me by saying I'm good at intellectually organizing and structuring things.
Meanwhile, I was curious, so I also asked Gemini. And then...
Huh!? The moment I saw it, question marks popped up in my head, but when I asked why it chose this image, I got a surprising answer.
It said it thought I was a man because I often look at things structurally and think logically. It explained that because I look decades into the future, search for the essence of problems, identify issues, and explore paths from structuring to systemization, this was the image it arrived at.
A gender mismatch, of all things. I was surprised that there might be unconscious bias even within AI, but at the same time, I was strangely convinced. After all, it's us who are using those AIs.
However, being able to learn about these differences makes me feel like I've gotten a little closer to AI. Now then, does this illustration look like the real me...?
