[Poem] A Summer Once Upon a Time
Many summers have passed—
A slightly more mature afternoon from back then
The summer breeze slipped through the gap in the window
A photograph that had been tucked away deep on the shelf
Was brought before my eyes from beyond my consciousness
I tried tracing that nostalgic summer with my finger
The two of us, still so vivid, loving each other
But the girl disappeared
What is the boy left behind thinking, I wonder?
With a hole the size of one person in his heart, the girl had been snatched away by autumn
It was the fleeting fireworks of a summer once upon a time
"I'm home... Hmm?
Were you looking at a photo?"
Fireworks seem likely to bloom this summer
"It's nothing."
