[Essential Theory] Why Reskilling is Necessary for Working Professionals -- The Source of Growth Lies in XX!

Hello. This is Tasuku Hanamaru.
Since this is my first time contributing, I am honestly nervous.
I believe the readers will watch over my challenge warmly, so I will trust you all and continue writing.
I will continue to write articles useful for career development, so please press the "Like" button to support me!

This time, I will approach the essence of "why reskilling is necessary."
And I will talk about the important starting point that promises growth.

The roles required in society are constantly changing

Something I keenly felt while continuing to be a salaryman.

That is,
the responsibilities and roles required of you continue to change significantly every seven years or so, depending on your age and position.
that is what it means.

In fact, I have witnessed colleagues, regardless of whether they were older or younger, show momentum for a while, only to peak out once the required roles changed.
It is even a "stumble" in one's career, a"trial called change". How can we overcome this?

What is the greatest "source of growth" and "power to move reality"?

Something I am realizing while overcoming things one by one in real-time amidst trial and error.
That is,
"reskilling" is the source of growth, the power to move reality,
that one point.

"I can't stay as I am, I have to do something," "If possible, I want to change my current situation myself," while thinking that, "I don't know what to do."

In the end, I think there are quite a lot of people who are swept away by the complexity in front of them every day and harbor feelings of frustration.

I was a former dropout. And I also overcame that.
There are countless know-hows in the world such as "XX University Method" or "Practiced by 100 XX University Students," and I sometimes check the ones I am curious about.

But as a result, I end up not executing them most of the time.
It feels more like "I can't" rather than "I won't."
Because, just as there are as many personalities as there are people, everyone has their own style of studying that they are good at.
The sense of understanding and grasping the world is different between someone who likes and is good at manipulating mathematical formulas and someone who writes poetry within their sensibilities, isn't it?

What studying should originally be

What I think about studying.
That is, studying is something that should originally be done at a "life-sized" scale.
It is not a task to compete with someone.

The primary purpose is to do it
"so that you can live without regrets."
Even if you have a grand ambition to "want to be useful to the world," if you don't ask that first point, you cannot continue.

In other words, I think it is a task of"powering up" to respond to changesfor that purpose.
However, it is a fact that as a result, there will be a difference between you and "people who are not studying."

To improve your own "problem-solving ability"

For example, if you borrow the hands of professionals such as lawyers, tax accountants, tutors, or housekeeping/cleaning services, payment of compensation will occur.
Naturally, the cases where you should use them are limited.

Therefore, in daily work and life, there are overwhelmingly more small and complicated events that you must solve yourself.

Also, when your position or role changes due to personnel changes, etc., the required points also change (this is annoyingly troublesome!).
If so, you have no choice but to improve that "problem-solving ability."
And such "problem-solving ability" does not necessarily correlate with the amount of knowledge or academic background.
This is as many "self-made" people have realized.

Then, how can you acquire that?
I think that the key to that is exactly"reskilling."By "reskilling," your moves will become faster, and you will definitely be able to improve the quality and accuracy of your judgments.
Above all, it is something you can do yourself, and I can even say there is no more certain method than this.

What is essential for new challenges

Furthermore, when you take on new challenges, such as "I want to increase my income" or "I want to get a certification and build my skills," what is the first thing you run into?

If you imagine it for a moment, you will understand, but it is "full of things you don't know."

New challenges are a series of encountering things you don't understand and dealing with them.

"Huh? What do I do here?"
"Where can I look to find out?"
"You should have told me that sooner"
"I don't know anything about that"...

Anyway, it's just a repetition of things like this.

Then, first of all,
whether you have a foundation in place to continue relearning.

This is quietly being tested. And this difference will later return as a very large difference in results. This is because those who can see things to some extent have a different way of playing their hand and dealing with things. Furthermore, it's not just about results. It would be better if results were produced. Above all, it is essential to greatly reduce the probability of saying, "This is such a hassle. I quit." If you quit, nothing will progress from there, and you won't be able to create opportunities.

The starting point that brings you growth lies in...

I think there are many people who think that studying is "doing input." Of course, that is not wrong. However, for working professionals, it is not the correct answer either. This is because no matter how much you memorize, you will forget it. Knowledge and the like can mostly be found by searching on Google. Working professionals are not evaluated just by knowing knowledge. They cannot provide the responses required of them either.

I believe that "studying that leads to growth" is more important. And what is important for being able to do studying that leads to growth is not the amount of knowledge, nor is it your educational background. It is,

"awareness".
People can only change after they gain "awareness."

This, well, is simple to put into words, but it is an important "experiential knowledge" that you can carry with you throughout your life without joking, and it becomes the ultimate starting point for realizing growth, so I would like you to engrave it in your heart. For example, suppose you are told by a senior colleague as a working professional to "be more sincere." While you are thinking, "Ah, yes, yes. I understand," the information is entering your ears, but your heart is not moved. It is a situation where you are not reacting. However, when you have made sales pitches many times, been brushed off lightly each time, yet continued to visit persistently without giving up, and when they finally responded by saying, "If you go that far, then..." and you realized, "Ah, what is important after all is sincerity without pretense," that is the first time you will change, right? In other words, those who can produce results are not those who know one more piece of knowledge than others, but

those who have "been able to respond to change" through even one more "awareness."

I believe that learning that allows you to live without regrets through such accumulation is the study that should originally be aimed for. In other words, knowledge collection that does not lead to creating ease of awareness and polishing your antenna for awareness cannot be called study. Of course, apart from academic inquiry that expands the world and specialized academic research, it is more valuable to perceive it that way at the real-life level.

Things like "100 students from XX university say it's good," which are often found in book titles, do not necessarily apply to you in the same way. There is no need to force yourself to match them.

There is no need to be discouraged and try "speed reading" out of anxiety over a lack of knowledge.

True growth begins when you take action based on your own "awareness."

I have gained so much since I realized this one point. Whether you can live your life while being conscious of this one point and accumulating awareness will surely change the fruits you can obtain later by tens or hundreds of times.
