“If I keep doing it this way, I’ll probably be monetized in two years...” My hypothesis from back then was right, so I, two years later, wrote an answer.
The date was November 13, 2021.
Back then, I was still in the era of teaching myself business. It was a time when I was receiving coaching and searching for my own way of living...
I was desperately thinking about "proper business" while saying things like, "I want to make a roadmap!" "I want to create a point of contact!" "I want to do things properly!!"proper businessabout.
In my note at the time, it was written:
When my head is overflowing and I can't stop, I use Twitter or write notes (unconscious customer attraction), and when I want to make something like illustrations or blog designs, I immerse myself in making them (product creation and point of contact creation), and when that's done, I show it off to my heart's content (unconscious customer attraction in the name of satisfying my desire for approval)... I concluded that if I keep doing this,
I'll probably be able to monetize in some way in two years.
Two years later, in December 2023. I have built a
super-intuitive business that makes one want to ask, "What is a proper business anyway?" and I'm doing quite well. My life has also become richer.
Today, I would like to write down what I think now, while poking fun at my note from two years ago.
First of all, I would like to thank Yuki-san for unearthing that "strongest note" which describes my struggles at the time.

The note from that time is here.
*Below is an excerpt from the note at the time. *
Bold text is what I wrote today, two years later.

I had a coaching session today, and I had a profound realization, so I want to write it down.
I’ve always had a tendency to change my mind frequently, and even after deciding, 'Okay! This is the way to go!', I’d be saying something completely different a few days later.
→ Two years later, I still haven't changed.
On top of changing my mind, I even forget plans that I had so thoroughly theorized and backed with clear evidence.
→ Two years later, I still haven't changed.
I even forget the resolutions I swore so firmly to keep.
→ Two years later, I still forget.
Yeah, I think I probably have ADHD tendencies too.
(I’ve never checked, but my husband often says to me, 'Why do you forget so much? Normal people don't forget things like that.')
→ This is the 'Dekisugi-kun' problem with my husband.
It seems I forget things that aren't necessary for me.
(Conversely, I clearly remember things that are necessary. Like smells or temperatures.)
→ I remember them well, like the smell of the sea from back then.
Last week, during coaching, I said, 'I want to create a roadmap for my business!'
I want to create a website as a point of contact, I want to draw manga, I want to try making animations, and I want to write a blog.
Since I have so many things I want to do, I want to create a roadmap, put them in order, and follow that!
That’s what I thought when I asked for advice.
I decided that since I don't have a point of contact, it would be better to finish the website first, and then do the manga and animation I want to create later!
If I didn't finish the website, I'd probably get the urge to build it while in the middle of drawing manga, or end up working on things halfway, so I decided to aim for 'finishing the website first' instead.
→By the way, even now, two years later, the website is still not finished.
And then...
Just today...
I thought, 'Isn't it more important to finish the manga than to build the website?' and my hands stopped.
→Oh!
Even though I had theorized so much and decided, 'I think I'll get distracted by the website while creating the manga and stop working, so it's better to finish the website first,' my thinking has become the exact opposite.
→Common occurrence.
I realized that there's no point in building a website if I don't create the product first!
→A good realization. The website is still not finished after two years.
Once that happens, it's a disaster.
In the middle of creating the website, I bypassed the manga and became desperate to make an animated video.
→Common occurrence.
This happens to me often.
→You know that well.
'I've always been like this... I decide on a plan, then decide it's meaningless and quit, or I can't see it through to the end, or I just forget about the plan entirely...'
When I muttered that to my coach,
“Then, let’s just stop using a roadmap altogether!”
That’s what the coach said.
No way, when I said things like, “If there’s no roadmap, won’t I lose track of where I’m going?” or “I think a roadmap is essential for success,” he replied,
“Hana-san, you’re the type who ‘realizes you’ve succeeded’ when you’re doing what you love, soplanning and achieving things in a structured way doesn’t suit you.”
I have almost the same thought process as the coach now. I’ve become so wise.
“Momentum”and“waves”are important, anddoing ‘what you want to do’ when ‘you want to do it’is what suits you best.
“Theoretical opinions are suppressing your abilities, Hana-san, so let’s ignore the structured plans and theories written in common business books. They are unnecessary for you.”
“It’s okay to prioritize only your own intuition and the desire to take action.”
I was incredibly happy.
Since 2019, I’ve dreamed of turning my skills into money, but the more I studied, the more I became trapped by 'business theory,' thinking I didn't have the ability to earn, couldn't follow through on plans, or was just drifting aimlessly.
→ That’s so true, isn't it? I really just kept thinking that and blaming myself.
So, this time too, I thought I was being selfish for not being able to follow the roadmap, and that I was unplanned and optimistic, and that in such a state, I wouldn't be able to achieve the dreams I had envisioned.
→ That’s not true at all. Even so, there will be people who say 'I'll follow you!', so it's okay.
But when I think about it carefully, the times I get job requests are after I tweet an illustration I made on impulse, saying 'Look, look! I made this!', or it starts from posting to the photo gallery for everyone on note, or I get work through a contact point I made just because someone said 'Why don't you try it?'...
Yes, my work is connected by 'momentum,' 'sensibility,' and 'spur-of-the-moment ideas.'
→ All of my current work is like this.
Why does work connect through momentum and waves?
When I unravel that,
By moving with 'momentum' and 'waves,' I am creating small products on my own, and every time I do, I tweet 'Look, look!', so I am unconsciously attracting customers as well.
All I have to do is assemble or organize them, and a large product is completed and sells.
→ In other words, this is 'automated business for the intuitive type' (Oh, I was thinking I wanted to verbalize this, and here it was written down!).
In short, it seems I am unconsciously creating materials through 'momentum' and 'waves'.
→ Exactly, exactly.
All that's left is to 'assemble and sell' while being conscious of the flow that has led to work in the past.
→ Exactly, exactly.
Specifically, I attract customers on Twitter, create small products with momentum and waves, and set up a contact point (homepage).
→ You really like homepages, don't you (lol). You don't even really need one. Even if you make one, you'll just want to change it (since I've made over 5 sites because I kept wanting to change them).
For that, 'sequencing' is unnecessary, and it's fine to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
→ I'm already part of the group that can only do that.
When my head is overflowing and I can't stop, I tweet or write notes (unconscious audience building), when I want to create something like illustrations or blog designs, I immerse myself in making them (product creation and setting up a storefront), and once that's done, I show it off to my heart's content (unconscious audience building in the name of satisfying my need for approval)...
I concluded that if I kept doing this, I would be monetized in some way in two years.
→ Wonderful. That's exactly right. Two years later, you're killing it.
I see...
It was okay to be unplanned...
→ It's fine! Hepalyse!
Talking to my coach, I realized that I am 'not a theorist,' and since most business books in the world are 'things created by theorists with theories,' they are unnecessary for me.
→ Seriously, that. I want to have a business book built for intuitive people... (the number of things I want to do has increased)
I can't aim for the shortest path, so I don't need to aim for it.
→ Actually, you can. In fact, there are many people who say 'Nice to meet you! I'll buy it!'
It suits me better to work steadily, step by step.
→ I wonder about that. Hehe.
Sensitivity over theory.
→ Exactly.
What I need is to acknowledge that and master it.
→ Oh! Two years later, you've mastered it nicely!
It's okay to be even messier.
→ Yes!
It's okay to prioritize my own sensitivity and waves more.
→ Yes!
I felt happy because I felt like I was toldto stick to that even more than I do now.
→ That's my coach for you!!! ✨
As I started creating my website and am now writing profile articles and such, I’ve been feeling a fierce urge to create animations, and even though I thought, 'But if I start on that now, the website won't get finished,'
before I knew it, I was making animations.
Well, it can't be helped.
I have no choice but to follow it.
Or rather, I think following it is the right answer.
→ It is. Let's give up. That's the only way.
And I'm sure the wave of 'I really want to make a website' will come back again.
→ It'll come about 5 times.
I want to head toward the goal while going back and forth, taking detours, and picking up many different things along the way. (Though perhaps the goal itself isn't the purpose.)
→ Oh! You're hitting on a pretty good point!
Maybe the purpose is 'to enjoy the journey toward the goal'.
→ Oh~👏
I felt like I wanted to let my 'I really want to do XX right now!' take flight even more.
→ This is what 'things you can do without trying hard (= the strongest)' is.
I don't need theorizing.
→ Or rather, I feel like I don't need interpretations that fit a theory. It becomes possible to create theories unique to an intuitive person who does what they think of when they think of it.
I want to challenge myself to see how far I can monetize using only 'lack of planning,' 'momentum,' and 'curiosity.'
→ The shortest distance
-------------
So, for those who are intuitive, if you can get rid of the 'you who is trapped in a frame,' you can really make a splash.
It seems it's okay to stay messy.
Just like rummaging through a toy box, there are many people who search for various things and bring me nostalgic products, asking, 'Can I request this?' (← I've even forgotten I made them, haha)
By the way, currently, in addition to coaching, I receive work requests in various fields such as online snack bars, Four Pillars of Destiny fortune-telling, fan clubs, coaching sessions using Notion, marriage counseling, business management, administration, and consulting. I create products based on things I think of on the spur of the moment, and from there, fans are made and it leads to sales... a mysterious system has been created.
