Rest in Peace, Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan has passed away.
Even those who don't know professional wrestling have likely seen his image at least once.
Many people have probably encountered him without realizing it, as he has been paid homage to in countless games and anime.
Younger generations might not know, but he had a deep connection with Japan.
If it weren't for his professional wrestling experience in Japan, the Hogan we know today might not have existed.
It was significant that Hogan was given the title of having knocked out Antonio Inoki, the iconic Japanese professional wrestler.
Of course, his own efforts were tremendous, and he possessed the adaptability to be both a super babyface and a super heel.
In terms of being loved not just in America but all over the world, there may never have been a professional wrestler quite like Hogan.
I believe that without Hogan, socially recognized professional wrestlers like The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), the People's Champion, or The Undertaker might not have followed.
Hulk Hogan was a symbol of a bright and prosperous era, so I feel that his passing marks a turning point and perhaps the end of an era.
Hogan was said to be a Trump supporter, and I wonder what he thought of the current Trump administration.
I also wish he could have lived a little longer to share his thoughts on a world that is becoming far removed from the era in which he shone.
