There's a Reason for Hiding Things—Not That There's Anything Wrong with Being Muscular [As I Feel, Rambling (7)]
My son has started hiding his screen.
My son, who is currently in his first year of junior high school, started hiding his screen when watching YouTube around the latter half of his sixth year of elementary school.
Before that, he used to enjoy playing online games in the living room while using voice chat, but now he hides away in his bedroom to do so.
Now that he's reached the age of puberty, it seems there are more things he doesn't want his parents to see or hear.

It's not just children who instinctively hide their screens, is it?
I also hide mine unconsciously.
Especially when I'm looking at social media like X or Instagram and an image is displayed on the screen.
Because with an image, you can tell at a glance what I was looking at.
Even though I have nothing to feel guilty about, I end up hiding it anyway.
In particular, I hide training videos or selfies of muscular people or those aiming to be muscular at lightning speed. You could call it a spinal reflex for when I feel my personal safety is at risk.
If I think that my family might even get a glimpse, my alert antenna instantly sharpens, and my fingers move faster to scroll the screen.
Even if the post itself is from someone interesting or engaging, that won't be conveyed to someone who just caught a glimpse.
All that gets conveyed is the fleeting fact that their mother, their wife, was looking at a muscular body.
If they asked me something, I could explain, saying, "I follow them because their posts are interesting, but sometimes their physique pops up," andclarifyI could explain, but it's hard when they interpret it on their own in silence.
Also, it would be one thing if it were my children who saw it.
Just thinking about it being my husband makes me feel heavy and breaks me out in a sweat. He would surely sulk and say, "Oh, so that's what you're into." Or he would just be in a bad mood.
That's why I hesitate to like or follow muscular people. I am aware that I am missing out, even though many of them are bright and honest people.
But I can't take the risk of having more muscular people on my timeline, so I hope you understand ←

It feels like I'm explaining myself to no one, and my story about things I don't want seen has gotten long. I'm sorry to the muscular people for bringing you into this.
But surely everyone has the desire not to have the screen they are looking at seen by others. Regardless of whether it's wholesome or unwholesome.
There must be a reason why my son hides his screen, too. Like, he's just embarrassed, or something.
I think that my clingy, spoiled child has finally grown up this much, so I intend to spend my time acting as if I don't notice.
That doesn't mean I'm not curious, though—after all, I am a mother.
