A New Standard for Parents with Kids! I Visited Takanawa Gateway
I finally visited Takanawa Gateway, which I've been curious about for a long time!
The goal was lunch and letting the kids play 💨
First of all, the points that make it great for parents with kids start right at the station.

There is a spacious area with artificial turf inside the JR station where you can relax!
It's perfect for letting kids who have been traveling by train take a short break here.
I was able to let Baccho🌱 take a rest 🎶
Since it's artificial turf, you don't have to worry if they fall!

When I went before 11:00, it wasn't that crowded.
You can see the trains, so it's also recommended for kids who love trains.
Next, we headed to our destination, NEWoMan Takanawa.
The path from the JR line to NEWoMan Takanawa is covered, so it's safe even on rainy days.

What surprised me when I went inside was that
the rental strollers at NEWoMan Takanawa wereCYBEX!
This is the first facility I've seen that rents out CYBEX!
They're lightweight and convenient, aren't they? 🎶 I use CYBEX myself.

[Diaper Changing]
The rest areas were also well-equipped.
・NEWoMan Takanawa South (1F)
・NEWoMan Takanawa LUFTBAUM (29F)
I used these.
NEWoMan Takanawa South (1F)

There are 3 units.
It's quite cramped when you bring a stroller inside,
so it's tough to use with a stroller when it's crowded.
There are paper sheets, diaper trash cans, and sinks.
NEWoMan Takanawa LUFTBAUM (29F)

A rest area located near the restaurant floor.
It was very spacious and easy to use!
There are paper sheets, diaper trash cans, sinks, hot water for formula, and nursing rooms.
[Lunch]
We went to "The Public Place," which we had reserved in advance.
The interior is spacious, and there are terrace seats, making it very open.
The view from the 28th floor is also wonderful!
It gets very crowded at lunchtime, so I recommend making a reservation in advance!
There were seats where you could keep your stroller, but
this time I arranged for a child seat to be prepared when I made the reservation.

There were many people using it for mom gatherings.
Since this day also doubled as my husband's birthday lunch,
we ordered the Seasonal Course (3,800 yen including tax).
It comes with an appetizer, pasta, a main dish, dessert, and a drink.

Everything was so delicious!
The stylish interior really lifts your spirits🎶
A few days later...
I liked it so much that I visited again😆
This time, we ordered pasta and pancakes!
The pancakes were just the right amount to share between two friends.
It was so good, I want to eat it again...

I didn't see a kids' menu.
Bringing in baby food is allowed.
[Play Area]
After filling our bellies, I let Baccho🌱 play!
On the 5th floor of NEWoMan Takanawa South, there are
<Fureruto>, <Yokumiru>, and <Kiiteko>three play areas.
<Fureruto>

There are mats with different levels, so it's safe even if they fall!
It's also recommended for babies in the crawling stage.
It gets very crowded, so we finished lunch early
and headed there around lunchtime.

There is also a space to park strollers.
Baccho🌱 really liked this dome.
However, it's made of a slippery material, so he bumped his head lol
I recommend playing barefoot.
There were many people having mom gatherings while letting their kids play.
Baccho🌱 was moving around so much that I was drenched in sweat!
You sweat even more indoors lol
I'm glad he seemed to have fun moving around so much!
<Yokumiru>

A play area where you can see the trains well!
As a play area, it's narrow and has hard materials, so
maybe it's an area for babies who don't move much yet or for older kids?
<Kiiteko>

You can watch trains while sitting on a bench, or
if you speak into the round part on the right side of the photo, it works like a string telephone
and you can hear the voice from a different circle.
I think this area is for slightly older kids.
[Large Bookstore]
There is also a large bookstore on the same 5th floor,
and they had lots of picture books too!!
There was a place where kids could take off their shoes and read books in a hideout-like space,
and although I forgot to take a picture, it's much, much bigger!

There was even an area inside where you could eat, drink, and read if you paid the admission fee!
It was so stylish!
On the way home, I grabbed a drink at the BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE on the 1st floor before heading back.
I really enjoyed Takanawa Gateway to the fullest!
There were a few shops I was curious about, so I'd love to go back for lunch sometime!
