Nice to meet you.
I am Rianaho, a physical therapist for 18 years and involved in developmental support for 13 years.
I have met many children and their parents/guardians so far.
In this note, I will gradually write about what I have felt in the field, the perspectives I value in support, and the things I want to challenge myself with.

First, I would like to talk about myself.
I have been involved in developmental support for many years. During that time, I have met many children with rich personalities. As a physical therapist, being able to be part of a moment in a child's growth is truly an irreplaceable time, and I continue this work even now because I want to experience that moment.
Every child is growing. This is not influenced by the presence or absence of a disability, or the degree of the disability.
Children themselves sometimes feel their own growth firsthand and express their joy with their whole bodies.
That moment is the greatest gift for me in doing this work.

There is something else I am obsessed with.
It is numerology. Numerology can easily express one's own personality and the personality of others through the characteristics of numbers.
Knowing numerology has been a reference for me in human relationships at work and in observing the characteristics of the children I am in charge of.
By the way, I have two young children, and I feel that both of them are living out their own numbers lol

The reason I started this note is that I thought it might be interesting to combine the skills I have acquired while enjoying life.
I hope I can be close to someone's feelings.

〇 Insights from developmental support
I am a physical therapist, so I am an expert on the body, but I believe that for the body to work well, the development of the heart and social development (wanting to play, wanting to communicate, etc.) are essential.

And the important thing is to look at the child as an individual.
Fitting a child into some kind of framework can crush the personality that the child possesses.
First, what do they want? How do they play? What do they want to do?
I observe very, very carefully. By doing so, there are things that I gradually come to understand.
And another thing I value is the perspective of the parents/guardians.
I am an expert as a physical therapist, but the person who knows the child best is naturally the parent/guardian. And also, for that child, the parent is a place of security.
And it goes without saying that the "mother" in particular is an important key person for each child.
When a mother notices her child's characteristics and personality and accepts the child as a whole, the child's growth accelerates. This is something I have felt in reality while being involved in developmental support.
Mothers, your worries just keep increasing when it comes to your children, right?
I am a mother too, so I understand that feeling more than enough.
I want someone to listen to me, I want someone to gently be by my side, I want to consult with someone other than the nearby specialist about my child. I don't understand my child.
What should I do?

I hope my thoughts reach such people, and I want to be a presence that can be close to such people.

Thank you for reading to the end.
