Recently, I've been making videos like these. (July 20, 2026)
While I've been writing on note recently, I've also been gradually posting videos on YouTube.
I'm definitely not a good guitar player (lol).
Even so, the feeling of 'I want to try playing this song' or 'I want to make this sound' hasn't changed since I was younger.
It's not what you'd call a 'perfect performance'.
As I've put in the title, it's an 'unauthorized guitar cover'.
I'm just playing the songs I like while enjoying them in my own way.
🎸 Unauthorized Guitar Covers
Nirvana - 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'
This is the first video I attempted.
While I was playing it, I felt like I could do a little better (lol).
Nirvana - 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' (Revenge)
I was frustrated, so I played it one more time.
I don't often play the same song back-to-back, but that's how much I love this song.
Pixies - 'Where Is My Mind?'
I'm still struggling with the rhythm.
But I really love the unique atmosphere of this song.
Lovely Summer-chan - 'PART-TIME Robot'
This is a song I really like.
It was a very satisfying song to play on the guitar.
the pillows - 'Hybrid Rainbow'
I'm playing on a Gretsch G5230T.
the pillows really are the sound of my youth.
Oasis "Rock 'n' Roll Star"
Just the first verse for now.
I hope to play the whole thing someday.
🎛️ Playing with effects pedals
SUF RAM'S HEAD "Silver Violet"
I had some fun plugging it into my Fender Concert II.
I think this kind of time, just making noise, is part of the joy of playing guitar.
🎵 I'm doing some other things too
PART-TIME Robot - Real Indie Rock Mix
I tried mixing a song by Lovely Summer-chan with my own personal image in mind.
Elastica "Blue"
This is also an unauthorized guitar cover, but I didn't write that in the title.
It's just a mood thing (laughs).
I'm playing on a Gretsch G5230T.
Elastica "Connection"
This is also an unauthorized guitar cover... the guitar is a Gretsch G5230T.
Elastica still hasn't faded even now.
Little by little, I'm giving shape to the things I love.
I feel like I've changed a little bit myself recently.
I used to think, "I'll publish it once I'm good enough."
But now, I've come to think that capturing "who I am right now" is more important than whether I'm good or bad at it.
So, my playing, sound design, and DTM skills are all still a work in progress.
Even so, the time I spend surrounded by the music and guitars I love is truly enjoyable.
I would be happy if even a little bit of that atmosphere comes across.
If any of the videos catch your interest, please come and take a look.
