Past Experiences with Flower Stands: Overload Edition
I have sent balloon stands twice and a flower stand once, for a total of three times. With the live concert before the hiatus on 1/11 approaching, I decided to write this for myself, and also to give a little push to those who are thinking, 'I want to try sending a flower stand' but are wondering, 'How much does it actually cost?'
This is intended as a reference for those who want to decide the design themselves to some extent, such as adding balloons or small items regardless of the flower type, even on a low budget.
Things to think about when sending a flower stand.
・Budget
・Which florist to ask
・Design (flower color, fresh or artificial flowers, presence of balloons, etc.)
・Whether they can handle delivery and collection
What should you prioritize? You can often see flower stands with ribbons and balloons for an average of 30,000 to 40,000 yen. If you don't have specific preferences for flowers or decorations, you can send one starting from the 20,000 yen range. If you want to focus on your own design, such as flower colors or choosing between fresh and artificial flowers, it will go from 50,000 yen to over 100,000 yen in some cases. It really varies, so those who are sending one should think carefully. If you search for 'flower stand otaku,' you will find a lot of results, so you can choose according to your preference.
2024.03.03 "Overload"
・I had just fallen into the Shoma-san swamp and started to love Omi-suki because of the Kimisute visuals and Ishitani-kun's voice. I was such a complete newcomer that I made the decision to send my first-ever flower stand while feeling half-nervous.
① Should I choose flowers or balloons?
・Since I already had an image of what I wanted to send, and I had seen a tweet from a senior Navi-san who sent a balloon stand, my heart was leaning towards balloons.
I happened to find Balloon Shop Alohas while searching online.

The Overload venue was in Omiya. The shop was also in Omiya. I thought to myself, if they can handle delivery and collection, this is the one! It's fate!! (lol).
After narrowing down my candidates, I made inquiries to the shops (I inquired with about three at the same time) and also asked the live concert organizer, Bushiroad, if it was possible to send a balloon-only stand instead of a flower stand.
As a result, I got the OK from both, so I sent a refusal email to the tentative florist candidate, decided on Alohas, and exchanged emails with the shop a few times.
Decorations
・Since it was my first time, I bought them on SHEIN. They are cheap and sell various things like balloons, so I think it's a good idea to buy things to use for the flower stand when you are shopping for something else.
There are other methods, such as buying fabric at Yuzawaya and making things from scratch.
Depending on the place, there may be a carry-in fee or it may not be allowed, so please check the shop's website or decide what to do by communicating directly via email or in person.
About the panel
・I designed the panel using Ibis Paint, and for printing, I asked Prio ( https://www.oleshop.net/ ), which is cheap and finishes quickly.
When creating a panel, if you are asking an artist to draw an illustration, please reach out as early as possible. Those who kindly agreed are gods to someone like me who can't draw 😭 I love them💕
After communicating with the shop several times and receiving photos in advance, this is what I saw at the Omiya venue.

I had them focus on a keyboard 🎹 and put it together with blue-themed balloons, musical notes, and 🕊️.
I was surprised to see it in the front, and I was moved that they made it even more gorgeous than I expected, and that they produced something so good 😭✨
It was a balloon stand that fully emphasized my commitment to wanting to send something that anyone could tell was addressed to Yuishin & Shoma-san. I intend to stick to this commitment for the later Chaos-te and Code 503 as well 💦.
Thankfully, mutual followers told me, 'I knew it was from you as soon as I saw it!' and 'I knew right away this was for Omi,' which made me thrilled 😍
The large musical note balloon that said 'εpsilonΦ' was a stylish touch by the shop. The version of me that was sending a balloon stand for the first time was overjoyed ✨
Total cost
・Balloon cost 29,000 yen (including delivery and collection)
・Ribbon cost 430 yen
・Panel cost a little under 1,700 yen
Total 31,130 yen
I think it was a miracle that it stayed at this price because the shop and the venue were close to each other.
It was true that balloons are slightly cheaper than flowers. I recommend this shop to those who want to 'send a balloon stand that I designed myself.'
All I can say is, 'Go with the momentum of the moment' and 'When you are hesitant about whether to send it or not, it is better to send it and reflect on it than to regret not sending it.'
(From my experience of regretting not doing a joint flower stand with a child Navi on 2/2)
My reflections
・I included member colors on the panel, but I should have gone all-in on Yuishin after enjoying the live concert.
・The blue ribbon might have been too short 💧
Even though I was reflecting, I thought at the time that it would be my first and last time. A few days later, I received a 💙 from the person himself, and I saw his Instagram story through a follower and had a joyful breakdown at home 💦💦
The version of me at that time did not yet know that I would be sending another flower stand 1 year and 1 month laterーーー.
To be continued in the next 'Chaos-te Edition'
