[The Shape of AI Answers] Easy-to-Think-About Answers Have a Common "Shape" | Season 2 Compilation
🌅 Looking Back at Season 2
In Season 1, we aimed to "experience the differences."
When the shape of an answer changes, the way you see it changes too.
In Season 2, we took a deeper look at formats that "encourage thinking and prevent hesitation."
Formats that move your thinking forward or reduce the burden of decision-making.
That is the kind of format.
Let's take a moment here to look back.
🗂️ Formats We Looked at in Season 2
In Season 2, we covered the following eight formats.
Q&A Format
Questions and answers are returned as a set. It moves your thinking forward.
Question List
Only questions are listed. You think of the answers yourself. It serves as a map for your thoughts.
With Options
Two or three narrowed-down options are presented. It makes decision-making easier.
Yes / No
Both Yes and No are shown. It reduces hesitation.
Hypothesis → Verification
Multiple hypotheses are presented. It deepens your thinking.
With Priorities
Tasks are ordered. It determines your next move.
Flow Format
The flow is shown with arrows. It reduces decision-making errors.
Perspective Breakdown
Organized from multiple perspectives. It makes it harder for your thinking to get stuck.
There are this many formats, and each has its own role.
🧭 What They Have in Common Is "Reducing the Burden of Thinking"
Looking at the formats in Season 2, I noticed something.
Every format"reduces the burden of thinking."
Q&A guides your thinking with questions.
Question lists show you what you should be thinking about.
With options limits the range of choices.
Yes / No narrows it down to two.
Hypotheses lay out possibilities.
Priorities determine the order.
Flow shows the process.
Perspective breakdown increases the angles.
They are all shapes designed to make thinking easier.
It doesn't just give you an answer; it hands you the tools to think.
That is how it feels.
💭 The perspective of choosing a shape
Throughout Season 2, there was one thing I wanted to convey.
That is, “there are shapes that make thinking easier” is the point.
Even with the same content, changing the shape changes how easy it is to think about.
Whether it returns with a question.
Whether it returns with options.
Whether it returns with a flow.
You can decide for yourself which one to choose.
🌱 To Season 3
In Season 2, we looked at "shapes that make thinking easier."
In Season 3, we will look at formats for "reusing and managing."
Not treating answers as disposable. It is a shape that can be used repeatedly.
But that is a story for another time.
✨ Easy-to-think-about answers had a common "shape"
Looking back at Season 2, easy-to-think-about answers had something in common.
That is, reducing the cognitive load.
Whether it is Q&A, options, or a flow.
Even if the shape is different, the role is the same.
If you choose a shape that makes thinking easier, your thoughts will move.
Perhaps that is what it is.
