[AI Illustration Concepts | Season 2 Compilation] The Moment I Felt I Understood
Let's look back at what we've discussed so far.
This is a "summary episode." It is not an episode for organizing technical details or compiling know-how.
It is simply an episode to look back on the path we have traveled.

🗂️ The Concept of Layers
Thinking of prompts in terms of layers.
I had never thought of such a thing.
I thought it was normal to write everything in one sentence. Writing the location, the subject, the lighting, and the atmosphere all in one flow.
But when I started thinking about it in terms of layers, the roles became clear.
The location layer, the subject layer, the lighting layer, the atmosphere layer.
Each one has a different role.
When I realized that, I felt like I had "started to understand" just a little bit.
📸 Separating the Subject and the Background
The subject and the background were different things.
When I was writing everything in equal detail, I hadn't realized that.
Blurring the background, like the bokeh in a photograph. Focusing on the subject.
Thinking about it that way changed how I write prompts.
Describe the subject in detail. Keep the background simple.
Just doing that made the image feel more organized.
I felt like I was starting to see something.
✨ Separating Form, Texture, and Light
Form, texture, and light were things that could be considered separately.
If I wrote "apple," the AI would do everything. That was enough.
But knowing that they could be considered separately expanded the range of adjustments.
Change only the form. Change only the texture. Change only the light.
I learned that such things were possible.
Little by little, I felt like I was beginning to understand.
🌀 Controlling Convergence
Why do the pictures end up looking similar?
It was because I was using the same words.
I realized that I had been converging unconsciously.
And I also learned that convergence can be intentionally controlled.
I can choose to create similar pictures or different pictures.
I felt like I was beginning to see the structure.
💭 Maybe I just felt like I understood
But do I really understand?
I became able to think in layers. I became able to separate the subject from the background. I became conscious of form, texture, and light. I learned that I could control convergence.
That is a fact.
But that doesn't mean I understand everything.
The prompt still doesn't always work the way I want it to.
AI can sometimes produce unpredictable results.
I might have just felt like I understood, but in reality, I may not understand yet.
🤔 Between Understanding and Overconfidence
When I think I've started to understand, I let my guard down a little.
I think, 'This should be good enough,' and write the prompt carelessly.
When I do that, the image doesn't come out as I expected.
I think, 'Huh, maybe I didn't understand after all.'
I feel like I'm going back and forth between understanding and overconfidence.
The moment I feel I've understood is a good feeling.
But immediately after, there are moments when I realize I don't understand.
🧩 The Structure Has Become Visible
Even so, I feel like I can see the structure better than before.
Prompts have layers.
Images have a subject and a background.
Elements have shape, texture, and light.
Results have convergence and variation.
I have started to see these structures little by little.
When you can see the structure, you understand a little bit more about what you need to do.
It doesn't mean I understand perfectly. But the clues increase.
🌅 To the Next Phase
Up to this point, I feel like I have gained a bit of an understanding of the structure.
However, there is still something missing.
Specific control methods and tips for adjustment. Those are the more practical aspects.
In the next phase, we will take a look at those areas.
I feel like I'm starting to understand. But, I still don't quite get it.
I feel like moving forward in that state isn't such a bad thing.
The moment I felt I understood.
That might just be the gateway to the next 'moment of not understanding'.
Afterword
Thank you for reading this far.
As a compilation of Season 2, I have summarized things for now.
Regarding AI illustrations, it's that kind of feeling where I think I understand, but maybe I don't lol
It will continue for a while longer, so I would be happy if you could keep me company at your own pace!
It would be encouraging if you could 'follow' or 'like' this!
I look forward to your continued support!
