[PR] A breeze blows on the morning of a new life | Experiencing the 'time' of moving still images with Pollo AI
*This article is a PR article.
As April approaches, the atmosphere in the city changes just a little.
Even though it's the same road, the morning light feels slightly different. The faces of the people standing on the station platform have somehow changed. I feel like there are more people wearing new sneakers than usual.
In a season like this, I made a video.
The theme is 'A morning of a new life.' I created three images with AI, turned each into a video, and connected them into one.

🎬 What I tried to create
I limited it to just three scenes.
Leaving the house in the morning. Going through the station ticket gate. Waiting for the train on the platform.
There are no flashy scenes; it's a very ordinary morning landscape that anyone might recognize.
However, I wanted to properly depict that 'ordinariness'.
The tension in your fingertips when tying the laces of new shoes. The familiar footsteps of the people around you as you pass through the ticket gate. Those few seconds spent watching the train arrive at the platform.
I started making this hoping that a sense of that temperature would remain in the images.
I used a platform called Pollo AI. You can generate images and convert images to videos all in one place.

👟 Scene 1: Entrance
This is the scene of tying shoelaces at the entrance.
This is a posture you tend to take in the entrance in the morning, isn't it? Sitting on the step, leaning over, and threading the laces. With new shoes, the laces are still stiff, so it takes a little effort.
What was good about the image was that your eyes naturally go to the white sneakers. Amidst the navy coat and the dark tiles, only the white of the shoes stands out. I realized that new things stand out in this way.
I adjusted the instructions for the position of the shoe cabinet and umbrella several times. Since AI sometimes gets the structure of an entrance wrong, I carefully specified the direction of the step and where the shoes are placed. It seems better to convey the sense of a Japanese home in a bit more detail.

🚉 2nd image: Ticket gate
This is a view from behind of someone passing through the ticket gate with an IC card.
What I wanted to capture in this image was the atmosphere that 'everyone around is used to this'.
The morning rush hour has a unique rhythm. Everyone is moving at the same speed, in the same direction. And in the middle of that, there is one person whose tempo is just a little bit different.
Looking at the actual image, the people around were drawn quite clearly. The text on the signs is in Japanese, the IC mark on the ticket gate is glowing, and the atmosphere of a Japanese station is properly conveyed. This part went better than I expected.

🚃 3rd image: Platform
This is a profile view of someone standing on the platform.
The train is already arriving. The headlights are shining, and it is sliding into the platform.
Out of the three, this is the image that most captures the moment 'just before things start moving'.
You can see the sky through the gaps in the platform roof, and the morning light is streaming in. The yellow tactile paving, the iron pillars, the platform stretching into the distance. It really felt like being at a station.
From here on, it might be faster to just watch the video.

▶️ Video: The 3 images in motion
I turned each of the three images into a video. Then I edited them together into one clip.
At the entrance, they tie their shoelaces, and the hem of their coat sways.
At the ticket gate, they tap their IC card, the gate opens, and they join the flow of people.
On the platform, the train stops, a breeze blows, and their hair and coat flutter.
When I created the images, I felt they were 'pretty good,' but when I turned them into a video, I was a little surprised.
A breeze blew.
Their hair swayed. The hem of their coat fluttered.
There was a moment where I thought, 'Oh, this world is alive.'
It creates a sense of time that wasn't there in the still image. Even though it's only 10 seconds long, the morning is right there.
When making it into a video, I was very conscious of the instruction to 'not change the composition of the original image.' If the camera moves or the composition shifts, it becomes something different from the still image I saw earlier.
The video ends just before the train doors open. I didn't show the part where you get on. I wanted to leave what happens next to the viewer's own morning.

💡 About Pollo AI
I used Pollo AI this time.
In short, it is a platform where you can use various AI models in one place.
Models that create images and models that create videos have different strengths. Usually, you would have to use different services, but with Pollo AI, you can switch between them on a single screen.
For this production, I used it in this way.
I used a model called Nano Banana 2 to generate the images. It's a recently added image generation model, and its handling of light and texture is beautiful.
I used Kling 3.0 to generate the videos. It's an 'Image to Video' feature where you upload an image and create a video from it. You can generate a 10-second video while maintaining the composition of the original image.
I turned three images into videos and then just connected them with editing software. Not having to go back and forth between tools helped keep my workflow uninterrupted.
You can try the basic features even on the free plan. It's a credit-based system, and the consumption varies depending on the model used and the length of the video.

🌸 Conclusion
A new life isn't really about big things happening.
Putting on your shoes. Going through the ticket gate. Waiting for the train on the platform.
But each of those things is a first, and everything is just a little bit nerve-wracking.
The video I made this time was an attempt to trace that kind of morning atmosphere. There are parts that went well, and parts that didn't go as I had imagined.
However, the moment the still image moved, I felt 'Ah, it's morning,' and I don't think that's a lie.
If you have a morning this spring where you are heading to a new place.
It might be nice to remember, just a little, the air when you stepped out the door and the wind that blew on the platform.

Afterword
Thank you for reading this far.
With a new life about to begin, I wanted to capture the sense of anticipation for what's to come in a video, which is why I wrote this article.
A year goes by in a flash, doesn't it lol
I wonder what will happen in the coming fiscal year!
Pollo AII hope this conveys even a little of its appeal.
Following and liking this post would be a great encouragement.
I look forward to your continued support!
