Aki Project Day 26, 29 Days Remaining: I Decided to Quit Various Things
# Aki Project Day 26
## 29 days remaining. I decided to quit various things
Hello, this is Aki.
Aki Project Day 26.
There are 29 days left until my 60th birthday.
Today's theme is,
**I decided to quit various things**
.
When you start something, there is momentum.
Deciding on a new goal.
Starting a new project.
Taking on new studies.
As the things you want to do increase, your daily enjoyment also increases.
However, if you try to continue everything you have started, you will run out of time and energy.
Even if you intend to continue each one, the content becomes thin, or you become unable to focus on what is most important.
Today, instead of increasing new things,
**I decided to quit various things in order to keep only what is truly necessary for me right now**
.
## Today's Record
Here is today's record.
・Weight: 67.4kg
・Change from previous day: No change
・Average blood glucose: 130
・Within-range maintenance: 90%
・Estimated HbA1c: 6.1
Weight is 67.4kg.
There was no change from the previous day.
Average blood glucose is 130.
Within-range maintenance was 90%.
Estimated HbA1c is 6.1.
I have drifted away again from my goal of 100% within-range maintenance.
I had sudden work late at night, and there was high blood sugar during that time for which I don't know the cause.
Was it the influence of the meal?
Was it the tension from starting work?
Is stress involved?
I don't know the clear cause.
Even if you intend to live the same way, blood glucose levels can sometimes move in unexpected ways.
Even if an action had no problems until yesterday, it does not mean it will have the same result.
If you are too conscious of avoiding high blood sugar, you may end up with low blood sugar instead.
It is not enough to look at only one side.
Reasons why blood glucose rises.
Reasons why it falls.
The meal at that time.
Work.
Sleep.
Physical condition.
Changes in feelings.
I will observe my body's reactions while recording them one by one.
If I look only at the number of 90% within-range maintenance, I feel depressed.
However, I cannot just end it by feeling depressed.
The goal remains 100%.
I will return to the basics once again.
## Studies are the same as before
For studies, I am continuing the same content as before.
The top priority is the Administrative Scrivener exam.
Because the scope of learning is wide, I am checking my knowledge while solving problems instead of moving forward thinking I understand.
Even the content I have memorized fades over time.
Problems I got wrong.
Problems I hesitated on.
Problems I got right by chance.
I will repeatedly check those.
Bookkeeping is a total review of Level 3.
In order to study for Level 2, I will ensure I do not leave the basics of Level 3 ambiguous.
Journal entries.
Trial balance.
Closing accounts.
I will solve problems to find the parts I do not understand.
I am restarting English from the basics.
Before moving on to difficult materials, I am checking vocabulary, grammar, and short English sentences.
I will not pretend to understand, but will rebuild from the foundation.
It is not the case that you should increase everything at once for studies either.
What is necessary for me now.
What will lead to the me of one year from now.
I will concentrate my time there.
## Training focuses on stretching
Training is also basically the same as always.
・Stretching
・Squats
・Ab roller
・Grip strength training
・Basic karate practice
・Shoulder rehabilitation
However, because the condition of my shoulder is too bad, I focused on stretching today.
There is no point in forcing an increase in the number of repetitions and worsening the condition.
I will stretch slowly while checking the movement of my body.
One of my current goals is to get my stomach flat.
To put my stomach on the floor while doing the splits.
I still cannot do it easily.
Even so, I will continue a little bit every day.
Increasing muscle strength is important, but for me right now, increasing flexibility is also necessary.
What should I focus on?
There is also a priority for training.
## I made Challenge 100 the final episode
This time, I made Challenge 100 the final episode.
100 times every day.
100 days.
To take on 100 challenges while in my 50s.
For me, it was a very interesting project.
There are many things I understood by actually taking on the challenge.
The difficulty of continuing.
How to use time.
The difficulty of advancing multiple challenges at the same time.
These are all things I would not have understood if I hadn't tried.
However, for me right now, there are other things that must be prioritized and advanced.
Administrative Scrivener studies.
Bookkeeping.
English.
Blood glucose management.
Training.
Work.
Note.
Projects starting from now.
If I try to continue everything with the same effort, I will not be able to do any of them sufficiently.
Therefore, I have brought Challenge 100 to a stopping point here.
There is a little sadness in ending it.
Even so, continuing is not the only correct answer.
## Aki Project also moves to the next project
I will continue the Aki Project until my 60th birthday.
After my birthday passes, I plan to transition to a new project.
How much can I change my life in 55 days?
Weight.
Blood glucose.
Training.
Studies.
Work.
Income.
Communication.
I have been advancing while recording my daily actions.
29 days remaining.
It is not over yet.
I will see it through to the end.
However, I do not intend to continue the same project as it is after my birthday.
For the me who has turned 60, there is a new challenge from age 60.
I will use the foundation built by the Aki Project to move to the next stage.
## I will also narrow down Note articles
Currently, I am writing multiple articles on Note.
There are still many themes I want to write about.
However, if I make increasing the number of articles my only goal, the time I can use for each article decreases.
What to write.
Why to write.
Which articles to continue.
I decided to organize this as well.
The articles I plan to focus on from now on are,
・Diabetes Battle Record
・Navigation Diet
・Life Reboot Diary
・New Project Starting from Age 60
.
Regarding the new project from age 60, I have not decided on a title yet.
What will I challenge from age 60?
What will be my goal?
What kind of figure will I communicate?
I will decide on the title while thinking about the content.
Reducing articles does not mean weakening communication.
It is to make the remaining articles more fulfilling.
Deepen the content I write.
Convey my experience concretely.
Write articles that allow those who read them to take something away, even if it is just one thing.
For that purpose, I will narrow down what I do.
## Quitting is not giving up
Starting something looks positive.
Conversely, quitting can sometimes look like giving up.
However, I do not think so.
If I continue everything and everything becomes half-baked, it is better to choose what is necessary.
Let go of things that are not necessary for me right now.
Stop things with low priority.
Use that time for what is most important.
Quitting is also
**a decision to seriously do what I have left**
.
I have too many things I want to do.
When I think of something, I want to try it immediately.
I think that ability to act is my strength.
However, just continuing to start things will not lead to results.
Continue after starting.
Improve while continuing.
End things that are no longer necessary.
And move on to the next.
Up to that point is one challenge.
## Narrow down what I do and make it fulfilling
Time is 24 hours a day.
Even if there are 10 things I want to do, or 100, the time I can use does not increase.
If I start something new, I need to reduce something.
What is truly important to me right now?
What will lead to the future?
What do I not need to do now?
From now on, I will act while thinking about that.
Do not be satisfied by increasing the number.
Do not feel like I have worked hard by being busy.
Narrow down what I do and make the content of each one fulfilling.
If I study, I will do studies that lead to passing.
If I train, I will do content necessary for my current body.
If I write an article, I will write an article only I can write.
I will pour more effort into what I have left.
## 29 days remaining
Aki Project Day 26.
Weight 67.4kg.
Average blood glucose 130.
Within-range maintenance 90%.
Estimated HbA1c 6.1.
I had work late at night, and there was high blood sugar for which I don't know the cause.
The condition of my shoulder is also not good.
Not everything is going as I thought.
Even so, I will continue to study with a focus on the Administrative Scrivener exam.
I will do a total review of Bookkeeping Level 3.
I will restart English from the basics.
I will focus on stretching.
And, I will try quitting various things to keep what is necessary for me right now.
Challenge 100 is the final episode.
The Aki Project will also move to the next project after my birthday passes.
I will also narrow down Note articles.
Quitting is not to run away.
It is to make what I have left more fulfilling.
29 days left in my 50s.
Instead of increasing the number, I will deepen the content.
I will narrow down what I do and make every day lead to results.
