[Midjourney] Image Editing with Nano Banana Pro

Dogs and cats are great, but
budgies are quite the little pranksters too.

When they fly toward you and land on your finger with a quick flutter, it is just so adorable.

You have to make sure they don't bump into the walls and get hurt, though.💦
Watching a budgie happily chirping away inside its cage can make you feel so happy!

Unfortunately, this isn't about Papaya, but about my younger sister.
When I visited my sister's house for a family gathering over the New Year, she had a cute little budgie.

Seeing it flutter around the room, landing on her shoulder, head, or finger with a flap, and chirping away is just so cute.

Now, onto the main topic.

I tried generating the image I had in mind using Niji・journey.
Hmm.

The fingers look strange; they're too flat.

Usually, I would try to force it to look right using prompts.
“Oh, wait, I can just edit it.”

I tried editing it with Nano Banana Pro, trying not to ruin the original image as much as possible.

First, the fingers.

Yeah, that's good.
Next, adding some variation to the flat colors.

I added some light and shadows.

Does it look a bit more like a digital illustration now?

When you generate something in Midjourney and
think, “Oh, that's nice!”
but then think,
“Hmm, I want to change the angle a little...”
“I want to add a few small items...”
“The fingers look weird...”

Being able to do minor edits like that while keeping the unique Midjourney feel intact is actually pretty great, isn't it?
