[Parenting Diary] Sprinkler
"Hyaaaaaa!"
Two boys ran out of the classroom, fighting with handmade swords.
That was the scene I saw when I first visited the kindergarten my eldest son now attends.
[My free-spirited eldest son seems like he could live easily here]
I was lucky enough to get him into the place I desperately wanted him to attend.
The teachers, the office staff, and the janitors all watch over the children warmly, and my eldest son loves his current kindergarten. I am so glad he is able to go there.
Except for one thing...
At the kindergarten, boys are encouraged to "pee standing up" because it's easier to go play right away. And so, my eldest son's concept of the toilet has become [boys standing up is cool, sitting down is for girls].
However, he is only four years old and it has only been a little over a year since he was potty trained... he can't do it standing up perfectly every time. Sometimes, the pee sprays in unexpected directions.
Yes, just like a sprinkler.
I clean the toilet floor and seat as if I were a Koshien baseball player crying while scooping up the dirt from the field.

My eldest son started spring break this week.
He's here all the time. I'm trembling. (In many ways)
"Mommy, the toilet is all wet."
The sprinkler is active in our house again today.
