The Scent of "Spring Morning Mist" for My Car | GONESH LIQUID AIR FRESHENER No.8
It all started about six months ago when I tried a tester at the fragrance section of a daily goods store I frequent. Among the many scents, it was my absolute favorite, and this time, I made my second repeat purchase for my car.
It comes in an elegant gold-designed outer box with a capacity of 74ml. Let me introduce my favorite, "GONESH Liquid Air Freshener No.8".
A secret scent inspired by "Spring Morning Mist"
Looking into it, GONESH is a brand from the Chicago-based company Genieco, but this product seems to be manufactured in Japan. The packaging says "PERFUMES OF A SPRING MIST" in English, and it is described as "No.8 Spring Mist," which means "Spring Morning Mist" in Japanese. The name is lovely, and the scent is exactly as imagined.
This scent, which could be called synonymous with GONESH, is apparently blended using a secret recipe with over 90 years of history.
A refreshing and elegant sweetness Inspired by the clear air hanging in the morning mist, it lightly arranges the sweetness of fresh fruits.
A sweet and sour berry top note While the specific blend is a trade secret, it is described by loyal users as having a rich, sweet and sour berry feel, like "blueberries in syrup."
The clarity unique to a liquid type Unlike incense, this is a liquid type that doesn't use fire, so there is no bitterness from smoke mixed in, allowing you to enjoy the clear, fruity scent of Spring Mist directly.
I really like that it doesn't have an artificial unpleasantness and has a refreshing, subtle scent. It's so elegant that I sometimes think, "Maybe it could be a little stronger?"
Duration and summer consumption
As for the duration of the scent, my impression from the last time (the first time I used it) was about one to one and a half months. However, since the last time was during a cold period, consumption might be a bit faster in the upcoming hot season. I would be happy if it lasted a little longer, but I'll keep an eye on how it progresses.
This scent helps me get into the zone during my morning commute
During my morning commute, when I open the door and smell this refreshing scent, I naturally get into the zone, thinking, "Alright, let's do my best today." Even the start of a busy day becomes a precious time where I can reset myself just by being enveloped in my favorite scent.
Searching for a place to put it in the car (safety first!)
I have decided to always place this air freshener in the drink holder at the bottom of the passenger side door. Here, it is not exposed to direct sunlight, and there is no worry of it falling over while driving.
However, perhaps because it is in a low position near my feet, the scent sometimes feels a bit faint, or it completely disappears from my field of vision and I forget it's there (lol). I am considering other locations where the scent might be more noticeable.
