Chapter 6: Life is a Game Where You Make Your Own Rules

Having read this far,

I think some of you
might be starting to think, 'Oh, I see, so that's what it is...'
and have begun to understand it a little.
That life is

not determined by luck

or talent,
but by design.

Many people

live aimlessly.

They work aimlessly,

interact with people aimlessly,
spend their time aimlessly,
and before they know it,

years have passed.
But that is

less like living a life

and more like being swept away.

It is easier to understand

if you imagine a game.
Games have:

・A goal

・Rules
・A direction to move in
That is why people get absorbed in them.

But in life,

you have to create those

for yourself.
What kind of life do you want to live?

What is the life you absolutely do not want to live?
What do you value?
What will you no longer choose?
If you live without deciding these things,

you will end up

living by the rules
of those around you.
Someone else's values,

society's definition of 'correct',
the prevailing atmosphere—
your life will be tailored to those.

But

a woman's dignity
is not about

being swept away by that.
It is about deciding your own rules and living by them.

What kind of person are you?

What criteria do you use to make choices?
What do you accept,
and what do you not accept?
People who have these rules

do not get lost.

They do not waver.

Because

their criteria for judgment are within themselves.
And there is one more

very important thing.

That is,

rather than what to do,
what not to do.
Life is

made of choices.
But many people

only think about adding things.

Work harder,

do more,
increase more.
But in reality, it is the opposite.

When you decide what not to do,

your life falls into place.
・Do not go to places where you are treated poorly.

・Do not stay in relationships where you have to suppress your true feelings.
・Do not turn a blind eye to things that feel wrong.
These kinds of choices

change a woman's life.
Life

is not changed
by something special.
In your daily life...

Will you betray yourself,

or will you cherish yourself?
Which choice

will you make?
Decide that for yourself,

and live it yourself.
That is

what it means to live life

as a game.
