Once again, hello. I'm Gotchin. My real name is Goro Watanabe.
I quit my job in 2023 and started this Gotchin account from scratch.
After that, in my 8th month (6th month of operating on note), I broke through the 1 million yen monthly income barrier, earning 7.5 million yen in December 2024 and 8 million yen in March 2025.

I currently operate three blog-related platforms: note, Ameblo, and my own blog (WordPress), but starting with just note is perfectly fine.
Eventually, you will create a WordPress site, but let's start with just note.
By the way, if you are posting about spiritual topics, Ameblo is a good fit.
Compatibility by genre is a bit complex, so reply to the newsletter and I will answer as best as I can.
If you don't have time, just keep in mind to 'focus on one thing and break through at one point'.
The same goes for those who are too lenient with themselves and can't keep up with the work.
In the early stages of business, not increasing your options—in other words, not getting lost—is incredibly important.
YouTube (you don't need to do this at first): Just talk while recording your screen.
I use the standard Mac QuickTime Player.
I talk while showing note articles or mind maps on the screen.
There is no need for a dedicated script or special editing.
You don't need to show your face either.
X/Threads (you don't need to do this at first):
The biggest downside of X is that you inevitably end up seeing unnecessary information that you're better off not seeing.
As long as you are swayed by words like '500,000 yen a month on the side' or '100,000 yen in 5 minutes a day,' you won't be able to get a 'feel' for success.
It's just a back-and-forth of position-taking and one-upmanship, so it's exhausting to watch.
Also, your Japanese will become terrible. (This is super important)
X and note are certainly a good match.
But it's hard for people who don't have time to use X.
If you stop posting, your account will suffer a power drop in an instant.
It is overwhelmingly easier and faster to build up your track record on note first before starting on X.
Also, I want you to take note of this because it is extremely important: if you start on X before you have anything to talk about, you will become prey for the strong. → You will have your desires stimulated (made to want things) and end up buying expensive teaching materials, but you won't be able to keep up the actions and will waste your money.
Also, I have created a funnel to my email newsletter on all my media, but you can wait to earn money through the newsletter until you have reached the next stage. However, please keep in mind that it will definitely be necessary later on.
First, break through from 0 to 1 on note, and start generating money with your own writing.
There are steps and an order to things.

Let's sell a 100-yen paid note.
You might think that 100 yen is too pathetic!

This is because the essence of business is "sales" = selling products.
Do not run away from selling products.
It might only be 100 yen.
But by selling a product you worked hard to create yourself, you incur a "responsibility" toward the customer who bought it.
This experience will dramatically increase your "true ability."
It becomes a lifelong asset that you cannot experience through affiliate marketing, where you only introduce other people's products.
Once you gain sales experience, you can gradually increase your unit price from 100 yen to 1,000 yen, and then to 10,000 yen.
Email Newsletter (You don't have to do this at first):This is the ultimate "monetization tool."
While note and social media are "one-to-many" relationships, an email newsletter is "one-to-one."
In reality, an email newsletter is also "one-to-many," but it creates a psychological illusion.
Since many people who earn large sums of money using the internet are "email marketers," I am focusing on growing my email newsletter.
*LINE is also an ultimate monetization tool just like an email newsletter, but since 2024, the risk of account suspension has become quite high, so it is not worth starting now.
You sell the products you created within the email newsletter.
PDF data, audio data, video data, consulting services—any kind of content can become a product.
Within the email newsletter, you sell only to those who feel they need the product. (In marketing terms, this is called DRM.)
All you have to do is this, and it is very simple.
Ultimately, building a personal media platform, getting people to read your newsletter through that media, and selling products within it—this is the classic, highly reproducible method.
However, since this can be completed entirely within note, I recommend starting by monetizing on note to narrow down your focus.
After launching your newsletter, selling high-ticket paid notes is also a great strategy.
[Supplementary Note 1: Final Goal]
I am repeating this strategy with the goal of reaching an annual income of 100 million yen within 3 years—by 2026.
However, I don't spend every day from morning till night just trying to grow my media. I spend 3 to 4 hours a day.
I value time with my family, enjoy my hobbies and leisure time, read at a leisurely pace, and accumulate many new experiences while working freely.
I've been able to do all the things I've held back on until now, and I feel incredibly fulfilled both mentally and physically.

However, if you are a complete beginner, you will need to 'invest time' at the start.
But blindly investing time is a flawed strategy.
If you acquire the right knowledge and information first, you can take an overwhelmingly shorter path and gain an advantage over those who know nothing.
Furthermore, in the newsletter, I will also hold 'Q&A sessions,' so I think you will be able to find a 'shortcut' to achieving results.
[Supplementary Note 3: Sustainability]
If you are going to engage in business as a side hustle, you cannot avoid the battle of consistency.
For many people, a side hustle business falls into the category of 'important but not urgent' tasks. (The so-called second quadrant)
Since you have income from your main job, you won't starve, so you could say you don't necessarily have to do it.
When this happens, there is a risk that you will inevitably put things off or fail to engage with them seriously.

Actually, successful people place immense importance on the second quadrant. Conversely, it could be said that those who do not value the second quadrant cannot succeed.
To keep going, you need:

・To monetize before your inner fire burns out

If you focus entirely on note, you can satisfy these two conditions and significantly increase your consistency.

Among them, the most overwhelmingly common one is "I can't keep it up."
However, if you can map out a "clear strategy + a roadmap to earning," don't you feel like you'd be motivated enough to keep going?
Once you get motivated and take action, it leads directly to increased revenue.

A person I am teaching business to, despite working at a company (and being a mom raising a one-year-old daughter while working full-time), quickly generated 400,000 yen in monthly revenue and succeeded in earning more than her main job.
Three months later, she easily surpassed 1 million yen per month.
Three months after that, she reached a monthly income of 5 million yen.
This is not a dream; it is a fact.
If you can do this, it goes without saying that you will feel much more at ease mentally. You will have completed your escape from dependence on your company.
