Ryokuyu Shokudo

I wanted to eat some gentle food, so this was my first visit.

On the pleasant terrace seating.
I also wanted to eat bread, so
sharing between the two of us was just right.

Karuizawa Kogen Church

I was told that the Stone Church had weddings scheduled all day,
so it was not open for viewing.
(I thought maybe it would be okay since it was Butsumetsu, but
I was naive...)
Various other things

Cream cheese noir, cinnamon roll, Muku bread, Nozawana bread

The villa area I walked through to get there also had a nice atmosphere.

So cute...

We even saw a squirrel along the way and fully enjoyed the nature!
About bicycle rentals
We used the following rental shop, which was close to our hotel.
It was a time of year that required advance booking, which I had completely forgotten about, so I called in a panic on the day of, but they were able to rent them to us.
We rented them for sightseeing in Naka-Karuizawa on the first day (around the churches and Harunire Terrace), and were told that electric bikes are recommended because there are many hills in Naka-Karuizawa. (Though we did our best with the regular city bikes we're used to, haha.)
We used an app called Bicycle NAVITIME to search for routes with fewer hills (a feature available after registering as a member; membership was free for one month), and we had no problems following that route. However, there was a long, gentle slope on the way there, so we took breaks occasionally to check our route and made sure not to overexert ourselves.
