Happy Writing Marathon #12 - What is the best manifestation experience you've ever had?
My answer is, quite simply,“getting run over by my own car.”That is it.
You’re probably thinking, “What on earth does that mean!?”
This is a true story, and I’m pretty sure I’m the only person in Japan who has experienced this! (lol)
I’m not sure if I can explain the situation well, but please bear with me for a moment.
Twenty years ago, when I was in graduate school studying trees, I parked my car in a mountain parking lot to conduct some research. It was a very hot day, and when I returned, the inside of the car was a scorching hell...
Even though it was a manual transmission car, I turned the ignition key without pressing the brake or clutch, with the door open and half of my bottom still on the driver's seat! (→ If you don't understand this part, just skip it)
Then, the car, which was in first gear, suddenly started moving forward on its own! (I hadn't pulled the parking brake...)
To my horror, there was a cliff right in front of me, and a river down below!
Oh no!? The car is going to fall!!
Thinking that, for some reason, I turned my body, which was facing the direction of travel, and desperately tried to hold onto the open driver's side door to stop the car from going down! (→ What was I doing!?)
Naturally, I couldn't overcome the force of the car. It kept moving forward, and the rear tire rolled over my right ankle...
The car hit a tree in front and managed not to fall, but my foot went beyond pain and was hit by an intense numbness!
“This is definitely broken...”
I called an ambulance myself, called my parents, and went straight to the hospital!?
The diagnosis was“a fracture of the right ankle,” and I had to be hospitalized for a month.Because of this incident, I couldn't move freely... The research I had been doing every day stopped, and I had to ask my juniors to take over... I thought, “This is the worst...” but then...
Actually
, even though an important employment exam was coming up in a month, I hadn't been able to study much because I was busy with daily research in the mountains (I spent my mornings on research).I thought,
“Isn't this a chance to study intensely!?”
I changed my mindset and studied hard while in the hospital!
As a result, I passed the employment exam, got my current job, met my wife who is in the same industry, got married, had a cute daughter, passed the exam for an overseas assignment, experienced living abroad... and that led to the happiness I have now!
In other words, thanks to “getting run over by my own car,” I was able to pass the employment exam!
As an aside, if you get run over by someone else's car, it's a hassle dealing with the person who hit you and the insurance, right!?
However, when you get run over by your own car, both the perpetrator and the victim are you, so it was surprisingly easy (lol).
Furthermore, there is a punchline to this story. On the day I broke my bone, I happened to look at a sports newspaper at the hospital, and in the horoscope section for Sagittarius, it said, “Beware of ankle injuries” (lol).
You might not believe it, but this is also a true story...
Anyway, for me,“getting run over by my own car” is the best manifestation experience I’ve ever had!
I had forgotten about this manifestation experience, so I'm glad I was able to remember it with this Happy Writing Marathon prompt (lol).
I would like to thank Ken Honda for coming up with this prompt, the management and staff of the note membership, and all the note creators who warmly accept me, once again!
※ I had been thinking about this prompt for several days, but while I was doing my 60-minute run early this morning, this story suddenly came to me!? As an aside, I’ve realized that the longer you run, the easier it is to enter a zone state, and intuition and inspiration are more likely to come down to you. I think running has benefits beyond just maintaining health (walking too!?). I hope you will try to incorporate it into your life without overdoing it.
