Announcement of the winning entries for the Gentosha assigned books '#AutumnReading2022': 'Kanikama Jinseron', 'Asakusa Runtatta', and 'Red Clover'!
Thank you for the many submissions for our '#AutumnReading2022' book review contest, which ran for about a month and a half! Together with the editors in charge of the three assigned books, we have decided on the winning entries.

This review captures the breath of Michiko Shimizu within her 'Life Theory' and unravels it with original words. The phrase 'a damp life theory' is exquisite, and I would like to use it when introducing this book in the future.

The sense of immersion, where your heart is shaken while reading intently, is packed into this writing, resonating with the fast-paced style of Gekidan Hitori. I was also happy that you found the light within the sadness and despair, noting that 'joy is not the only form of fun'.

This work is full of shocking words like 'I think it serves you right' and 'kill before being killed,' but I was happy that you touched upon the 'love between mother and daughter' that flows at its foundation. It is a page-turner mystery where the cover, obi, and synopsis are all scary, but I am glad you enjoyed this work full of gaps, including the kindness hidden in the line 'there is no child who has never loved their parent'.
