The "People Analytics Academy," co-hosted by the Waseda University Institute for Business and Finance and the People Analytics & HR Technology Association, is a course where participating companies and individuals learn about the use of HR data from an academic perspective through lectures and discussions among participants.
Launched in fiscal year 2021 with the cooperation of Professor Hideo Owan, this is the fourth year of the PA Academy, and starting this year, Associate Professor Toshiro Murase of the Waseda University Faculty of Commerce will serve as the chairperson.
For the first session of this year, our chairperson, Professor Murase, will give a lecture on the theme of "The Science of Teamwork and Organizational Collaboration."
He will introduce the mechanisms of teamwork and organizational coordination, including how winning and losing in organizational competition occur when fighting as a team.
Furthermore, through case studies of machine learning analysis using large-scale chat data, we will also learn about how organizational collaboration is realized.
After the session, we will hold a light social gathering. We hope you will visit the venue in person and enjoy the networking.
This is a perfect opportunity to rethink the importance of teamwork and collaboration within an organization from a new perspective and gain hints for your future activities.

Associate Professor Toshiro Murase, Faculty of Commerce, Waseda University
Moved to the U.S. after graduating from high school in 1997. Received a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2011. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, he taught at Roosevelt University in Chicago. In his current position since September 2017. Specializes in leadership and teamwork research.
