📽️ 4-panel comics coming to life? I tried making a short video with Gemini x Vrew!

📝 Resuming note, at the one-month milestone

It has been almost a month since I resumed writing on note. Actually, I tried this once a few years ago, but back then, I used "being busy with work" as an excuse and faded away after just one article💦

This time, my goal is “consistency”. I am strengthening my integration with blogs and social media, but as a new experiment... I challenged myself with a personal project: “Turning my 4-panel comics into YouTube Shorts”🚀

🚧 The first hurdle and a change of direction

At first, I thought I could quickly make it with the popular "NotebookLM," but it turned out it wasn't suitable for vertical videos...🙅‍♂️ So, I changed my strategy to combine several AI tools.

After trial and error, I arrived at the 3 steps to “turning 4-panel comics into videos”, which I will introduce now!

🛠️ Work roadmap to completion

I wandered a bit, but this procedure was ultimately the "golden route."

STEP 1: 🤖 Creating a "script" with Gemini

First, it's time for Google's AI, "Gemini." I had it read the content of a 4-panel comic I drew previously and create a “narration script for a short video”. The AI organizes the structure well, such as "how to make the punchline of the 4-panel comic work"✨

STEP 2: 🎙️ Turning it into "audio" with VOICEPEAK

Next, I put the completed script into the speech synthesis software "VOICEPEAK." Recent AI voices have such natural intonation! They are also rich in emotional expression, resulting in quality as if I had hired a narrator🎵

STEP 3: ✂️ Video editing with Vrew

I create vertical images cropped frame by frame in advance.

Finally, I finish it up with the video editing software "Vrew."

• Import the created "audio data"

• Place the "vertical 4-panel comic images" in the background

• Export in "vertical (9:16)" format for short videos

Vrew automatically adds subtitles, which makes captioning work so much easier!😲
