<Short Short> My Future Self Came to Apologize

In the morning, my future self came to apologize.

The man standing at the entrance was undoubtedly me.

He was a little older, but his face and voice were the same.

The man suddenly bowed his head.

"I'm sorry."

I was surprised.

"For what?"

The man shook his head.

"I can't say."

It seems to be a system created to reduce regrets.

Conveying specific future events is prohibited.

Only apologies are allowed.

The man bowed his head again.

"I'm truly sorry."

"So, for what?"

My future self was silent for a while, but eventually said,

"There is one thing I can tell you."

"What is it?"

The man looked at me.

"From now on, you will have regrets."

"About what?"

The man shook his head again.

"I can't say."

Silence followed.

Eventually, the man headed toward the entrance.

It seemed he was leaving.

While opening the door, the man looked back.

"I'm sorry."

It was the third time.

I shouted involuntarily.

"What did you do!"

The man thought for a moment.

And then he said quietly.

"I haven't done it yet."

He paused for a moment.

"I'm going to do it from now on."
