[Genmai no Manma.] To myself, who can't do things properly.
You don't have to cry over perfectionism anymore.
Even though I decided to do it, I can't do it properly.
Half the year has already passed, and I still haven't achieved anything.
If I don't do things properly, people around me will hate me.
...
If you think about this all year round, it's tough, obviously 😵.
At home, at school, at work,
"Do it properly."
The idea that has been drilled into me after being told that over and over,
is not something that can be peeled off so easily.
The troublesome part is,
next, even if others don't say it, I keep saying it to myself.
I have to do it properly.
I have to do it properly.
If I don't do it properly, it's no good.
It has already become ahabit.
Genmai also had perfectionism triggered in strange places since childhood.
I loved B-Daman, but with old plastic models, you had to apply the stickers yourself after assembling them.

If that sticker was even slightly misaligned, it would bother me incessantly.
When I tried to reapply it over and over because it bothered me, it would lose its stickiness and stop sticking...
The frustration would pile up 😫.
Even after becoming an adult, it triggers in unexpected places.
I get bothered if the pencil case on my desk is slightly out of place,
or I feel stressed if things don't go according to schedule.
Whether in private or in public, I have suffered so much from perfectionism.
As for now,
I have a feeling that I am largely, or rather significantly, liberated from perfectionism.
If asked where the turning point was,
I cannot clearly answer that it was this one point,
but I think it was having a mental breakdown from depression and changing how I talk to myself afterward.
Changing ingrained ideas and cultivated habits is indeed quite difficult, but
the fact that you are the way you are now is a result of what you have accumulated in the past,
means that
what you accumulate from now on will also become a result in the future,
in other words, you can change your ideas and habits starting now.
I think there is no need at all for people who say,
I am very happy now thanks to perfectionism ☺️!
to let it go, but
if there is someone who is currently suffering very much because of perfectionism,
that can be changed starting now.
If asked, how do you do it specifically?I borrowed the"power of words."
Words are amazing.
What kind of words do you say to yourself when perfectionism is triggered?
That changes how you "feel" significantly.
My recommended words for now are,
It's human-like and cute.
.
This phrase, introduced in the co-authored book by Kotaro Hisui and SHOGEN,
"Who are you living for today?"
When someone else fails, and of course when you couldn't do things properly,
It's human-like and cute.
say that to them.
Isn't that wonderful ☺️?
Since most people have never been told this, if you are the first to say it, you can give them surprise and emotion.
What is this guy saying
...but, it's kind of nice ☺️.
Let's say it to ourselves too.
Even if you tried to start a morning routine and couldn't even keep it up for two days,
say, it's human-like and cute.
Even though I decided to train my body this year, to my current self with a potbelly,
say, it's human-like and cute.
As you continue this, your way of feeling will change, and eventually your perception of yourself will change.
I am a person who can be loved even if I am not perfect.I am wonderful just as I am.
When your perception of yourself changes, your sensitivity to happiness also increases. That said, it's okay if you can't do it easily.
Even though I decided to change the words I use for myself starting today,
I've fallen into perfectionism again!!
To yourself who is about to fall into self-loathing immediately,
It's human-like and cute.
say that to yourself. lol
I want to create a world, at least around me, where we can realize that we are loved even if we don't do things properly.
Genmai, who moistens dry hearts, will continue to send out words as loose as rice porridge,
so please look forward to it without expecting too much ☺️.
One more thing at the end.
It's human-like and cute.
Have a wonderful day~ ☺️.
