Looking Back on July
Since it is the end of the month, I would like to look back on this month.
First of all, this month there was a renewal of my mother's long-term care insurance certification.
I took her to the hospital to have the doctor write an opinion letter, had the certification survey conducted, and she was certified as requiring long-term care level 1, just like last time.
After that, we held a meeting with the staff in charge, and it was revealed that there are more things she can no longer do on her own.
In terms of criteria, she is on the borderline between needing long-term care level 1 and 2, so honestly, I am afraid of what the future holds.
It is even more frightening that she has absolutely no awareness of it herself.
That is a point of concern for me.
Furthermore, I have not told my mother that I am living my daily life as a man, nor that I have changed my name to a male name.
Therefore, when the certification survey team came, I explained the situation in advance and asked them to call me by my original name on the day.
When I meet people who do not know that I have changed my gender in daily life, I hide my head with a hat.
Conversely, during the staff meeting, I didn't particularly hide it—or rather, since my mother was at day service at the time, I went as a man.
In such cases, it is necessary to make arrangements in advance.
Since my family register still says "female," I am naturally treated as a "daughter."
I write my registered name on official documents, but I use my original female name as a common name when necessary.
In the middle of this month, I had a major health setback.
I had a rather unpleasant accident that left me mentally exhausted.
Because of that, I couldn't even look at the internet and was just completely drained.
Since I am receiving male hormone therapy, it is mandatory for me to go for regular counseling.
It happened to be that time, so I went to the psychiatrist to consult with them.
However, I have a constitution where medication is too effective, so I can barely take psychiatric drugs.
Therefore, the basic approach is to manage things through counseling.
Naturally, I still had work to do... it was a very tough period.
Just as I was recovering from being quite exhausted, I happened to see an online article about an event.
It was an event where they played records, and there was a song I missed.
Naturally, there was no other way to listen to that song...
Even though I was completely unfamiliar with the area, I went to participate.
I left the house quite early for fear of being late, but there was a bookstore on the way, and as I was drawn into it, I found they were selling many very valuable books that are already out of print.
They were so appealing that I ended up buying four books I wanted to read.
After that, as I walked further, I happened upon another event and was able to participate in that one as well.
That was also good.
The original event I intended to go to was also great, as I was able to listen to various songs.
It was also nice to finally know the title of a song that I had heard many times but never knew the lyrics to.
A long-standing mystery was solved.
They also told me where to buy the CD, so I went to buy it later.
I was even more surprised when I went to buy it and was told, "You are the second person to come for this."
The first person was the event DJ.
It is a very good song, and it would be a waste for it to remain buried, so I would like to look into it and summarize it.
I am currently steadily gathering information.
As far as I can confirm with the information collected so far, there is quite a lot of it, so it won't fit into a single article.
I would like to spend a few months putting it together.
Finally, I upgraded my computer this month.
The specs were clearly insufficient, so I bought one with higher specs.
I have managed to install the necessary software for now, so I want to go buy an additional power strip and an SSD tomorrow.
After all, if I want to work properly, I need a decent computer.
Now that I have invested the money, I want to work hard.
Also, for this month, I have consciously increased the number of free articles.
In August, I plan to go back to my original pace of writing paid articles.
If you were interested in this month's articles, I would be happy if you would also read next month's paid articles.
Tomorrow is August 1st.
The heat will continue, but I will be careful about heatstroke and do my best in various ways.
