Pinterest is a "United States"-based "image sharing site"♪ Among image search sites and apps, it's already becoming mainstream in Japan too, so I'm sure many of you have used it at least once, right?

Today, I'm writing about this company in accordance with my "individual stock investment policy", so be sure to read it♪

① The sharp-tongued sister's evaluation of Pinterest
Although it's a new company in its second year since listing, it has over 400 million users, has already gained a certain level of popularity and status among image services, and is a company with a high probability of surviving for a long time♪
As long as the current stock market bubble continues, there is a possibility that its PER will remain overvalued for a long period, just like other SNS stocks♪
Therefore, even if it is a high PER/PBR stock, I believe that at this moment, Pinterest does not have the risk of a drastic stock price drop like "Tera"♪ (However, be aware that declines within the same range as ordinary stocks can occur)
② If you were to invest in Pinterest, what method would you use?
Basically, it's as described in "US stock commentary"♪ Choose and read your preferred investment method from ① to ④ according to your investment level♪ (Each is a completely different investment style♪)
① Beginner ▶ How to create a winning system trade
② Intermediate ▶ How to master averaging down [Explaining institutional tactics too]
③ Advanced ▶ Investment strategy & trading strategy for new highs
④ Pro ▶ How to defeat institutional investors, the truth about price movementsAlthough it says "for beginners," these are actually investment methods that only a very small number of pros, including myself (the author), actually use, so all of ① to ④ are content that even professional investors can enjoy♪
③ Summary of Pinterest's latest financial results
I (the person behind this account) have summarized the text portion of “Pinterest's Latest Earnings” for you♪
(You can visually understand the numerical tables in “Pinterest's Latest Earnings” by looking at “this PowerPoint presentation”♪)
If you thought, “I want to be able to read earnings reports in English just like my little sister!”, I’ve summarized everything in “How to Master English for Investors”, so please be sure to read it♪
_____
◯ Q1 2021 revenue was $485 million, a 78% increase year-over-year♪
◯ Global Monthly Active Users (MAU) reached 478 million, a 30% increase year-over-year♪
◯ Q1 GAAP(*) net loss was -$22 million, and adjusted EBITDA was $84 million♪
*GAAP = Accounting methods and rules commonly used in the United States♪
◯ 2021 Business Goals = Focusing on four items: content, improving the Pinner experience, giving back to advertisers, and shopping♪
◯ We plan to significantly increase our headcount this fiscal year to expand our business internationally♪
_____
*By the way, even though “Pinterest's Latest Earnings” is quite a long text, it was summarized much more concisely than the “translation of Amazon's earnings”♪ This is because most of the long text in Pinterest's report was not very relevant to the business operations, so I omitted most of it♪
For example, the omitted text looked something like this▼
We define Adjusted EBITDA as net loss adjusted to exclude depreciation and amortization expense, share-based compensation expense, interest income, interest expense and other income (expense), net, provision for (benefit from) income taxes and non-cash charitable contributions. Adjusted EBITDA margin is ....
We define Adjusted EBITDA as 'net loss adjusted to exclude depreciation and amortization expenses, share-based compensation expenses, interest income, interest expense, other income (expenses), net, provisions for (benefits from) income taxes, and non-cash charitable contributions.' Adjusted EBITDA margin is ..............
Therefore, for the text portion of “Pinterest's Latest Earnings”, you only need to know the parts I (the person behind this account) summarized above to get a passing grade♪
Thanks for reading until the end♪
