Traditional plastering techniques and unique methods created by artisans

'soil' is a product brand that features 'diatomaceous earth,' a natural material with excellent water absorption and humidity control, and brings the traditional Japanese 'plastering' technique into the modern day. Artisans at Isurugi, a long-established company in Kanazawa founded in 1917, carefully craft these products by utilizing the natural colors of the soil.

The beauty of the 'FLOWER VASE W stucco marble,' the centerpiece of this event, is supported by the skills of plasterer Shoichi Kaji. Through a delicate mixture that takes into account the climate and the state of the soil, and a surface polished like a mirror using trowel techniques, one-of-a-kind patterns reminiscent of marble emerge.
