[Part 2] Inquiry Problem <Endocrinology: Diabetes Edition>

Especially with diabetes medications, inquiries like this one are very common, so let's make sure to check them carefully.

Rp2. Voglibose tablets 0.2mg, 3 times a day after each meal, 30-day supply
Rp3. Glucose 10g, for hypoglycemia, 3 units
Now, what would you do for an inquiry here?

The hint is that checking the dosage instructions is important for diabetes medications.
Pharmacists, you know this, right? It's a well-known point.

Rp2. Voglibose tablets 0.2mg, 3 times a day after each meal 30-day supply
Rp3. Glucose 10g, for hypoglycemia, 3 units
The answer is here.
There are several diabetes medications that should be taken before meals.
In this case, 3 times a day before each meal is correct.
Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (α-GI) are drugs that inhibit the breakdown of ingested sugars into glucose by the enzyme alpha-glucosidase, preventing their absorption into the bloodstream.
In other words, they are drugs that are ineffective if not taken before a meal.
Also, when taking diabetes medication, you must be careful about hypoglycemia. For patients taking α-GI, glucose must be ingested in the event of hypoglycemia. Let's remember that as well.
