Fujitsu co-creates the future with Open Innovation 2.0. First-time participation in one of Asia's largest startup conferences!

Hello! This is the Fujitsu Public Relations note editorial department.

Fujitsu participated for the first time as a sponsor at one of Asia's largest innovation conferences, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, held at Tokyo Big Sight from Thursday, May 8 to Saturday, May 10, 2025. Through multifaceted initiatives such as booth exhibitions, session appearances, and startup awards, Fujitsu stood at the forefront of "Grasping the Future." We will now report on what those three days were like!

What is SusHi Tech Tokyo?

SusHi Tech Tokyo is actually not a "sushi" event (laughs)!
The name is an acronym for Sustainable High City Tech, and as a global event aimed at creating new value that leads to innovation and startup growth for a sustainable future society, more than 50,000 people gathered from all over the world.

We exhibited a booth where you can experience Fujitsu's open innovation and AI technology!

We exhibited the Fujitsu booth in a prominent location right after entering the venue entrance. In addition to introducing Fujitsu's open innovation initiatives, which are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, visitors were able to experience cutting-edge AI technology, such as demos of the AI agent "Fujitsu Kozuchi AI Agent" that autonomously proposes advanced tasks and measures in real-time, and the "AI computing broker" that streamlines GPU usage required for AI processing.

On the second day of the event, Tokyo Vice Governor Miyasaka and Kawasaki City Economic and Labor Bureau Director Tanabe visited the Fujitsu booth. Guided by Fujitsu Corporate Executive Officer Fukuda, they deepened their understanding of the exhibits and engaged in a lively exchange of opinions regarding the future social implementation of AI technology and its potential applications in cities.

Also, since quantum, AI, and food tech were focused on as trending technology areas at this year's SusHi Tech Tokyo event, we exhibited a mock-up of the superconducting quantum computer developed by Fujitsu in the Quantum area of the venue. Many people were curious and took photos, saying things like, "I've never seen this before!" and "The bottom is a mirror, making it easy to see the quantum chip!"

We also exhibited POCKET RD Co., Ltd. and Fujitsu's collaborative content, AVATARIUM Portable. By taking a photo of your face in front of the unit, anyone can easily become an avatar in 30 seconds using avatar generation technology and the latest deep learning technology, making it a popular spot where you can experience overwhelming reality and immersion. In this way, the Fujitsu booth highlighted that a world requiring AI avatar technology and GPU resource efficiency technology is coming soon.

Fujitsu Corporate Executive Officer Fukuda and Kawasaki City Economic and Labor Bureau Director Tanabe held a seminar discussion

The seminar titled "Transcending Industry Boundaries to Co-create a New Future" attracted many people to the 100-person capacity stage, and it was so successful that there was standing room only immediately after it started.

In the first half of the seminar, in addition to the "Fujitsu Accelerator Program" that Fujitsu has been developing for 10 years, we highlighted our One Fujitsu open innovation initiatives, such as collaboration with new business departments of large companies promoted with the CEO's office and CVC collaboration.

We also announced that we will establish a new co-creation base within Fujitsu's "Fujitsu Uvance Kawasaki Tower" that can be used free of charge by startups, large companies, and local governments, aiming to further accelerate open innovation. Expectations for a new industrial creation model aimed at solving social issues have increased.

In the latter half of the panel discussion, we invited Mr. Tanabe, Director of the Economic and Labor Bureau of Kawasaki City, with whom Fujitsu has strengthened its relationship since moving its headquarters to Kawasaki, to join the panel. We exchanged opinions on the possibilities of collaboration between local governments and companies, and the role Fujitsu will play in innovation that transcends industry boundaries. As a final message, the large-scale hackathon FUJI HACK 2025 (scheduled for June 19 and June 30) was mentioned. It was a truly passionate, exclusive discussion that could only be heard at "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025."

Fujitsu's Fukuda called out, "Is there anyone here with ties to Kawasaki City?" creating a sense of unity and a warm atmosphere in the venue.

Looking Ahead: Fujitsu as a "Hub" for Industrial Creation

Through SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, Fujitsu will continue to accelerate initiatives where "large companies join forces and combine the power of startups to create industries," something only possible because of our position of being deeply involved in every industry.
