Listening to your body's voice is not enough...
I believe that listening to your body's voice is necessary to stay healthy and make good decisions.
However, I think it is just as important to be the kind of person who can not only hear it, but also use that information well and follow through on what you have heard.
Sometimes I wonder if listening to your body's voice is actually something that many people are already capable of doing.
Having a bad feeling about something, or feeling unwell and not wanting to move today—I think those are also forms of listening.
Perhaps the difficult part is whether or not you are properly listening to those sensations and taking actions that align with them.
I myself have occasionally heard it but failed to follow it, and at those times, I feel intense regret, thinking, 'Ah, I really should have done that...'
When that happens, I feel so down that I wonder why.
Once, when I went to Morioka on a business trip, I thought that the famous koppepan (bread rolls) might be sold out by the time I returned, but I didn't buy them beforehand. As I expected, they were sold out, and I couldn't buy them.
You might think, 'Is that all?' but I felt down for about a month, and every time I remembered it, I would sigh ^^;
I don't think I was sad because I couldn't buy the bread, but rather it was regret for not listening to myself properly and saying, 'I'm sorry.'
If you hear it, let's try following it.
Perhaps it might be a sign that your body is clearly saying, 'I want to rest.'
