A story about going to a Chinese restaurant
Long time no see, it's Harun.!
Since my note streak will break if I don't post an article during July, I'm posting this to maintain my record!
I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to read everyone's articles lately.
I've had a dream since the beginning of this year, and I've been taking action to achieve it.
(I still don't have the time to leisurely read or post on note...💦)
My dream is
to study abroad in China
.
The reasons for this include:
⚪︎ I have been teaching myself Chinese, so I have more prior knowledge of grammar and vocabulary than others,
⚪︎ I've had opportunities to learn about Chinese culture at school, and I'm interested enough to research it and watch videos about it every day on my own,
⚪︎ Since I have never been abroad before, I wanted to experience and confirm the differences in lifestyle, culture, and scenery with my own eyes through studying abroad,
and various other reasons!
Also, today marks my 1000th consecutive day on Duolingo!!

However, due to various circumstances, I won't be able to study abroad this fiscal year.
Instead, I'm currently gathering information and taking action to enjoy Chinese cuisine in Japan, experience Chinese culture here, and support Chinese exchange students.
And recently, I went to a Chinese restaurant called "Kafugen" with a friend.
There are about 200 items on the menu, and although I couldn't take pictures, the menu names were in Chinese, and I could hear the staff speaking Chinese throughout the restaurant, which got me really excited♪

There are 16 types of set meals, and even excluding the spicy ones I'm not good with, there were so many choices that I couldn't decide which one to pick.
But among them, I chose the green pepper steak, which I rarely have the chance to eat at home!
The green pepper steak was very delicious!
However, since I'm the type of person who usually only eats one piece of bread for lunch, the portion was incredibly large... lol
My friend and I ate it slowly♪

And, thinking that there's always room for dessert, I had a sesame ball since they were 100 yen each♪
This was absolutely delicious!
The filling wasn't the usual smooth red bean paste, but black sesame.
The texture was also great, it was just perfect♡
My goals for this year are to pass the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 3 through self-study and to go to Chinatown with my friends♪
I've recently realized that when you have dreams and goals, you can work so hard while having this much fun.
Believing that I will be able to study abroad someday, I will continue to do my best♪
