Cafe 4 Minutes 33 Seconds
My dream trip to London finally came true. I booked a hotel with a view of Big Ben, and upon arrival, I immediately went up to the ninth-floor cafe. As I sipped my milk tea, I gazed at its majestic form with a sigh.
I must have dozed off due to jet lag. I snapped my eyes open and looked at Big Ben, but something was wrong. I peered through the binoculars I had brought with me, and to my shock, a man was clinging to the minute hand.
Since when?
At that moment, the hand, which moved every two seconds, clicked into a vertical position. Unable to hold on any longer, the man fell in the blink of an eye.
I rushed out of the hotel and sprinted across Westminster Bridge, screaming at the top of my lungs.
"Ambulance!!"
I reached the base of the clock tower, but there was no sign of the man, not even a single drop of blood.
Had I been dreaming?
However, I was stunned when I saw the London Times the next day.
"Big Ben, 4 minutes and 33 seconds behind; corrected, but cause unknown."
The man's weight must have slowed the movement of the minute hand. But where did he go?
The man's anguished expression just before he fell flashed through my mind once again.

Please listen to the sound of Big Ben if you like. 👇 It is quite loud.
