Library Frozen
The frozen dessert "Library Frozen," released by Tara Confectionery, is a huge hit. Each library-shaped package contains four ice pops in various colors and flavors. The distribution varies depending on the package you buy, and once you finish eating, the stick reveals the name of an author.
The yellow banana-flavored ice pop features "Banana Yoshimoto," while the light blue, cool-flavored bar with thin white streaks of milk features "Ryunosuke Akutagawa - The Spider's Thread." "Stendhal - The Red and the Black" is half strawberry and half squid ink, and Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath" has a grape flavor with a kick of mustard that stings the tongue... Some of the naming is quite a stretch, but that's part of the fun, and apparently, the number of featured authors is increasing.
I bought one right away. As I opened it, excited to see which author would appear, I found one colorless, transparent bar. I tried eating it, but it had no flavor at all.
"Huh? Did they forget to add the flavor?" I thought.
When I finished eating, the stick read,
"You - A Masterpiece."
