📮Episode 1: The Hungry Mailbox's Monologue (Hakata Edition)
The city air is crisp and cold, and my red body really stands out.
Lately... letters really don't come by much anymore.
Back in the day, they used to fall in with a 'rustle' or a 'thud',
but now my belly is empty, and I'm just letting the wind blow through.
During the New Year's card season, I used to be packed so tight,
there were times I felt like crying out, 'I can't fit any more in!'
Now that I look back, I actually miss that busyness.

Young people just use LINE now,
so my turn to shine has decreased significantly, but
sometimes when a child drops in a letter made of origami,
that's like a real 'feast' for me.
Even so... I still get hungry.
Could you feed me something, even just one piece?
I don't mind if it's a bill or an envelope from a government office, really.
At least during the New Year's card season...
couldn't you fill my belly up?
