How I Made My Decision
The other day, I signed the contract for a motorcycle!
The model is a YAMAHA Fazzio.
(It's a scooter since it's fully automatic)
The color is yellow.
It's exactly like this →🛵
I was distracted by so many things,
going back and forth between options.
At first, the Super Cub 110 was my only choice.
Then, I broadened my horizons and looked at the
Dax 125, also from the Honda family.
I thought I was going to go with the Dax, but
it was a bit pricey. On top of that, if I had to
buy all the motorcycle gear, for a humble office worker like me,
it felt like a life of eating nothing but bean sprouts was about to begin.
In the midst of that, I decided to reset and narrow it down
only by the engine displacement I could ride with my license,
and lo and behold, there was such a cute bike.
That was my encounter with the Fazzio.
Apparently, it's a newcomer that just arrived
in Japan recently.
It's not just retro-cute,
it has a smart key, storage, and a USB port!
The functionality is outstanding, and
it's cheaper than the DAX and slightly more expensive than the Super Cub,
so at this price, I felt I could actually afford it!
Then it was just a matter of the color.
It seems the yellow I wanted was in short supply
and wasn't available anywhere I went.
But at a motorcycle shop I had never visited before,
that little one was there!
I realized that the reason I couldn't make a decision
despite having bikes I thought were nice was
because I was forcing myself in some way.
I had always dreamed of being able to ride
casually and easily, just like in Tetsuro Degawa's charging trip show.
I rediscovered the feeling I had
when I first wanted to ride a motorcycle.
It doesn't matter if people don't call it a motorcycle.
I won't hesitate anymore; I've decided on this one.
I paid half the price in cash as a down payment,
the rest will be paid after Golden Week,
and then it will be delivered.
I want to ride it soon
and be freed from the crowded morning train commute.
My motorcycle life is just around the corner.
