[Commemorating 120 Posts] A Re-introduction
Hello! I just realized the other day that I have surpassed 120 posts on Note.
I would like to re-introduce myself to those who have been liking my posts all along, as well as those who have recently started viewing them.
My background so far
2013: Started my professional career
I began my career as a researcher at a chemical manufacturer. I spent about nine years there, but since I experienced multiple life events, I also experienced a lot of frustration regarding my career and personal relationships as a result.
2022: Changed jobs to a fully remote IT venture
I grew tired of the almost full-time office attendance required for research roles and felt I had reached my limit, so I changed jobs to a fully remote venture and worked in the back office for about a year and a half. I was very happy to achieve a fully remote work style, but I felt like I had jumped into the job change based solely on the remote aspect, which led to frustration regarding my salary and my position.
After that, I went through a retraining program, and now I work as a sales and consultant for a different IT company.
My encounter with Note
I had been on X (Twitter) for a long time, so I had known about Note for several years. However, I almost never wrote articles myself.
I started listening to Voicy in 2019, and since last year, I began listening to Hitoshi Kinoshita's broadcasts. In his broadcasts, he mentioned that sharing information is important from now on and that we should do Note. Encouraged by that, I started Note, and before I knew it, I had surpassed 120 posts.
Genres of articles I often write
Since I have experienced being an overwhelming minority in an organization during my professional life (as a woman in the male-dominated manufacturing industry, returning from childcare leave, working reduced hours, etc.), I am good at writing articles about the frustrations and interpersonal relationships unique to being a minority in the workplace.
When you are active as a minority in an organization, you are often thrown various 'words of gratitude' (in short, unsolicited advice), and an article I wrote about how we should just ignore them has been seen by many people recently.
Also, articles about language learning, which I have been continuing on a small scale for a long time, are also being seen by many people.
I started working as a writer as a side job from last December. I have also written several articles about things I noticed while working as a writer. Since the number of projects entrusted to me has increased recently, I would like to write about writing as well.
It is already March since 2024 began, but I would like to continue doing my best in managing 'Myself Inc.' with the motto 'When in doubt, choose the new path,' while challenging myself, inputting new knowledge, and outputting on Note.
See you again!
