We held the entrance ceremony for our second class of new graduates!

Foodison has welcomed four new graduates and employees as our newest team members! In this article, we will report on the entrance ceremony held on April 1st.
A warm welcome through a 'flower path' created by seniors
First, everyone entered the office one by one to upbeat music! As the nervous new employees walked in, their seniors showered them with confetti and welcomed them with applause. It is a scene typical of Foodison, where the culture of 'welcoming the people we work with together' is deeply rooted.
Entrance Ceremony
Message from the CEO: 'Do not lose sight of where you are, and develop the power to look far ahead'
After everyone was seated, the entrance ceremony began, and CEO Toru-san delivered a congratulatory speech. He mentioned that he was so moved the day before that he had to put pen to paper (!) to convey a passionate message for the new employees' future.
In navigation, there is a method called 'cross bearing' that uses multiple fixed landmarks to determine one's position. Just as there are no markers in the ocean, there are no clear signposts in life. That is precisely why it is important to have
reliable indicators in the form of your own 'goals' and 'achievements'.
Goals show you where you should be heading. If you only look at what is nearby, you will be swept away by waves and wind, but by cultivating the power to look far ahead, the direction you should proceed becomes clear.
Achievements are proof of your connection to and contribution to society. You can only grow by facing your achievements. And the point where your goals and achievements intersect is your current location. Do not lose sight of where you are now, and let us move forward together with our colleagues while accumulating challenges and learning.
Message from the CFO: 'Opportunities come from taking action'
You never know when an opportunity will come, and sometimes you only realize it was an opportunity after the fact. I want you to seize opportunities yourself through various actions. There is no such thing as a boring job, only boring ways of doing things. I want you to learn common sense, question it, and approach every task by thinking, 'Is there anything I can change?'
CFO Naito-san conveyed the importance of a practical and flexible mindset.
Furthermore, Akky-san, the supervisor of the member assigned to Foodison Ota, also welcomed the new employees with a warm message: 'Foodison's seniors are all your allies working toward the same goal. So please feel free to consult with us.'
Seeing the new employees listening to the messages from Toru-san, Naito-san, and Akky-san with serious expressions made us senior employees feel like we needed to stand tall as well.
New Employee Declaration of Determination
The four new employees each held up a goal written in a sketchbook and made a powerful declaration to the management team. Seeing them express their thoughts directly—such as 'I want to demonstrate our values like my seniors' and 'I want to do work that many people can rely on'—truly touched the hearts of the senior employees.
Dinner with the CEO and CFO
After the entrance ceremony, the new employees had dinner with CEO Toru-san and CFO Naito-san. Although they seemed nervous at first, the conversation livened up with stories from their student days and hobbies, and by the end of the meal, natural smiles were spreading across their faces. It was a moment that allowed them to experience the openness typical of Foodison, where the distance between the top management and employees is small.
