A PV that just captures everyday life in Izumo Province (not mythology)
Regarding the music video for the new song "Japan Legends of Izumo: Words of Exorcism," we have received comments such as,
"It's a magnificent mythological world!"
"Dark fantasy based on Japanese mythology is the best!"
—but that is not the case.
That is incorrect.
This is simply a PV that just captures the "everyday scenery" of Izumo Province.
To avoid any misunderstandings, I will provide a few explanations.
Exterminating pests that ravage the fields

The scene where Yamata no Orochi is being slain.
That is not mythology; it is harmful wildlife control to protect local agriculture.
People often say that wild boars are increasing lately.
In Izumo, the scale is just a bit different.
Since it has eight heads, we are just dealing with them all at once for the sake of work efficiency.
Susanoo?
He is just a veteran hunter.
God of Fire = Work scene at Hitachi Steel

The blazing Honokagutsuchi.
That is not a god.
It is a night shift at a steel mill.
They are just refining steel.
The reason the sparks look divine is because
I applied a cinematic LUT during filming.
Ancient iron-making people?
In modern terms, they are a group of heavy industry professionals.
Shuten-doji = Someone who got wasted at a drinking party

An ogre with sixteen eyes.
That's not an ogre, it's a
person who went beyond their limit at a drinking party.
First round: Sake
Second round: Sake
Third round: Sake
Your field of vision increases.
Shrine maiden = On-site operator

Beings who perform exorcisms, dances, and recite prayers.
They are not serving the gods.
They are the practical staff running the site.
Izumo's Shinto rituals generally cannot function without shrine maidens.
In other words,
they are the strongest.
Exorcism prayer = Morning assembly
"Purify and cleanse"
That is not a ritual, it is a
pre-work routine.
Prepare the mind and body,
pray for site safety,
and confirm no accidents for today.
It is completely a morning assembly.
What is a myth?
As you have likely realized by reading this far,
Japanese mythology is
the daily business reports of ancient Izumo.
・Flood control
・Agriculture
・Ironmaking
・Medicine
・Disaster prevention
It is just that later generations
called it a "tale of gods."
What this MV wanted to convey
In other words, this PV
is a depiction of how the people of Izumo
fought against nature,
created technology,
protected their community,
and continued to perform purification in their daily lives.
It is a
documentary videothat portrays those figures.
It is not a myth.
It is daily life.
Furthermore, for the next work,
the Transfer of the Land = business succession issues accompanying land development
is planned. (Just kidding)
