I created note Tools Compass, a site for finding useful note tools!

The other day, I wrote this article.

As I was collecting useful tools created by note creators, the number of listed items grew from 64 to 77.

It increased.

I'm grateful, but...

It's too long! It's hard to find things.

That problem has emerged😇

Facing the problem

In the article, 77 tools are lined up vertically in a long list.

If you know the name of the tool, you can find it using the browser's in-page search. The categories are separated, and there is a table of contents, too.

But in reality, you don't remember the tool names.

"I wonder if there are any useful tools for note"

If you come to look with that kind of feeling, you end up looking at everything from top to bottom. All 77 of them.

Having a lot of information and being easy to find are two different things.

In the previous article, I articulated this problem and ended with "Well, what should I do?"

I created a site called this.

It is a site where you can search for useful tools related to note published by note creators while filtering them.

"Compass" means a magnetic compass.
Out of the many tools available, I named it this because I hope it becomes a compass to help you reach the one you want.

What can it do?

On note, articles are listed in a single vertical column.But with Compass, you can narrow them down.

Search by "Image".
Try searching by "Analysis".

Narrow down to something close to your goal by category.

This way, you don't have to look at everything.

You can instantly narrow it down to just the tools that seem to fit your purpose.

You can search by tool name or description, and you can also search by author name.

If there is a tool you are interested in, you can jump to the author's introduction article from there.

Useful features

Favorite registration

You can add favorites to tools you think, "I'll use this later" or "I use this often."

Next time you wonder, "What was that tool again?", you can just return to the site and see only your favorites.

Thumbnail display ON/OFF

When you can see the thumbnails of the introduction articles, it's easy to recognize, "Oh, I've seen this article before!"

But when 77 items are lined up, the screen gets a bit busy.

So, turn it ON if you want to search by appearance.
Turn it OFF if you prioritize list visibility. Use whichever you prefer! 🤗

I will continue to update it

When managing a list in an article, even adding a single tool required the steps of "find the relevant section -> edit -> check the whole thing."

In that respect, with a site, you can update the necessary information each time.

New tools, name changes, and link replacements.
I will continue to update the information regularly.

In other words, I decided to create a separate place for it.
