A story about recording my feelings in an app with just a few words | Good for my mental health ② | Mental care | Self-care
Introduction...🫧
I've changed my creator name to "Yakumo Sora🪽". I wanted to add a surname...!
Nice to meet you all again.
Today,
"Maybe this was personally good for my mental health...?"
I'm writing about something I felt was🌿
Following my recent article on "Trying to increase happiness hormones by chewing,"
today I'm going to write about recording and monitoring my emotions.
It's not quite a diary, but
in the form of light notes,
I record how I'm feeling at that moment, bit by bit, in a smartphone app.
When I start something,
I tend to feel a sense of mission that I have to do it,
and I'm the type of person who gets bored easily.
With a diary, I feel like I have to fill up a whole page, or I feel like I have to write a lot, so it didn't really suit me...
So, now,
using an app called Hikidashi Diary (Drawer Diary),
I record my thoughts bit by bit✍️
It's simple, but
I can customize the background image to my liking,
and there are cute color schemes,
so it's my favorite!

This is
my favorite Yomogi font (this is a paid one),
but of course, there are other fonts too...!!
(Many people might already be using Hikidashi Diary, though🫧)
Until a little while ago,
I was also using an app called SeeLog...!
I think I kept it up for about a year?
It's like social media, but
it's a completely private tweeting app just for me.
It was cute, so I used it...🫧
Writing down how I feel right now like this, quickly,
is a great way to notice the subtle fluctuations in my heart, so it's really useful!
When I'm in a depressed mode, I don't have the motivation,
and I can't write long sentences or summarize things...
Also, with both Hikidashi Diary and SeeLog,
you can manage your tweets with tags🏷
I,
"#FeelingUneasy"
"#Irritated"
"#FeelingDown"
and other tags, and
later, I can look back at my tweets in a list by tag...
It's also very convenient
when observing my own feelings later on.
Also, conversely,
"#FeelingExcited"
"#Thrilled" or
"#InterestNotes" etc...
When my mood is lifted,
I write them down with tags.
Being able to organize later that "oh, this is when my mood lifted"
was also a good hint for exploring
what makes me feel comfortable at this point in time.
Besides this app,
I'm sure there are many others, but
・Can manage with tags
・Very easy to use
・Cute with many color variations
I really like these points.
Negative emotions (especially feeling uneasy, irritated, or anxious) should not be bottled up, but written down and taken out of myself.
By doing that,
it gets processed as information through my eyes again, which helps me calm down a bit, and I can look back on it later, so it was very good for my mental health.
Thank you for your hard work today too🫧
I'll post again🪽
